Banded 01/07/07, lost approximately 50 pounds, but has issues on and off with it being either too tight, or too loose. Band is currently empty, and Dr. Kaler in Host Springs, AR will be removing band and doing the sleeve in the same operation. Hopefully he will be able to do both laproscopically, but am prepared in case he has to "open" me up.
Update: Surgery performed 3/22/12, and done in one surgery, AND laproscopically. No looking back now!!
UPDATE: As of 5/4/12 - I am 6 weeks post-op, down 35lbs and feeling GREAT! Past all the liquid, pureed/mushy, and soft food diet. Started "regular food" today. No more getting stuck, sliming, or having to run to the bathroom and stick my finger down my throat to throw up what is stuck. This is by far the best decision I've ever made regarding my weight.
