HEy everyone. I was wondering if anyone else had late periods after the sleeve. I'm about 7 weeks post op. had a period about 2 weeks after surgery and was expecting it again 6 days ago. I'm starting to panic. I was thinking w the rapid weight loss maybe that's y I'm late. My husband had a vasectomy after our second child, but heard those tubes sometimes grow back. Really hoping to hear this is normal after the rapid weight loss.

Has anyone tried the unflavored protien powder mixed with the crystal lite iced tea? I'm looking for some added protien, but so sick of the chocolate mix and haven't liked any of the other flavors. What brand and does it mix well? I hate chunks.

I did a brown chinese sauce over the tofu noodles and it was really good. Took the Chinese craving away. Good luck.

Shirataki noodles (tofu noodles) are definitely worth a try. We had them tonight for dinner. We made it with a pad tai sauce, Peanut Butter, lime juice and a little hot sauce for a kick. They aren't bad. Not fantastic but definitely better than no noodles at all and I can have them on my stage 3 soft food diet. . Later on this week we r going to try them again with Alfredo. I'll keep you posted. Definitely worth a try though. Only 20 calories per serving. No gluten, no sugar.

I was trying to wait to post Picts at an even 50 lbs but I am 49 and in a "short" dress for Easter so I thought I'd share my before to now. . I can see it in the photo not as much in the mirror.

Ugh. I ate eggs too fast. Now I'm nauseous. Chest hurts. Wow this sucks!!!! How long will this last???

I was sleeved on the 8th and I'm still not on purée. I'm dieing for some meat!

I've been eating peanut butter by small teaspoons since week 3. No issues with it for me but I may get yelled at by my nut. We'll see on my appt on the 2nd. Can't wait for some soft foods. So tired of soup, egg beaters, and ricotta cheese.

I hate the taste of the kids chewable vitamins. They leave a terrible taste in my mouth. So I went today and bought some regular target brand women's. Vitamins. They were kinda big do I broke it in half b4 I took it. About 5 min later I got really nauseous and had the "slime" for the first time. I also had one of the body shaper cami's on for the first time. Has this happened to anyone else? Was it the vitamin or the spanx cami tight on my belly? Also I'm 3 weeks post op...

Has anyone post surgery watched your family eat? I'm watching my mother eat a sandwich and the size of the bites she's taking and how fast she's eating is really making me nauseous. No wonder I was fat if I ate like that. Has any one else felt like that? Omg.

I had the same rash. It's your body trying to heal the insision sites by attacking them. I even had it around old c section scars bc it was attacking all my scars. Not just new ones. Benedril really helped me. Good luck.

It's awful. The food she has in her mouth isn't even chewed and swallowed yet and she's shoveling more in. I am truly disgusted.

I'm only 2 weeks out and really feeling good. I can't imagine not feeling well enough at 10 weeks to go on vacation even one as strenuous as disney. Good luck.

They said the heart palp are the sleeve dumping syndrome. It's my bodies way of telling me I just ate sugar. So nothing to worry about. So relieved.

As anyone else had heart palpitations after vsg? I'm 12 days post op and have been having palpatations on and off for several days. Going to see the surgeon tomorrow. Went to urgent care tonight, they said I'd be fine for the time being and to talk to the surgeon tomorrow. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced something like this before.

Ok. Has anyone tried tofu noodles? Are they comparable at all with real noodles or even rice noodles? I'm super excited if they are!!!!

I had a really hard time too. I'm a little over a week post op, and on day 4 I know I was dehydrated. I had the shakes, and was really dizzy upon standing. I tried to drink but it hurt in my chest. Felt like trying to swallow a bolder. I ended up eating the sugar fee ice pops and drinking warm tea and broth. Those didn't seem to have as much problem going down. Seemed like frozen and warm were the only things I could do. Good luck. It's hard but it does get easier.

I had mine on the 8th and same thing. Still gas pains and incision pain. Really thought I made a mistake first 3 day but really starting to feel a little better tonight. Try some hot pad and hot showers from gas pains. It helped a little.

I'm 4 days post op. I regretted it for the 1st 3 days. Why did I do this? I was in so much pain, and couldn't get anything to go down. It was terrible... I'm starting to see some light though. I was able to have some broth tonight, take my anti depressant, and actually watch my kiddos out in the yard. Can't wait to be climbing on their jungle gym with them. those first 3 days post op are a killer though. And that was from someone with no complications. I couldn't even imagine if I was one of the unluckies to have a leak or other problem. I'm not regretting it as of today and hopefully not in the future either. Good luck!
