    Marchies in July

    Good morning Marchies. I went for fill #3 on Wed and she over did me. Couldn't get water down, while I waited. She then took out .5cc and I felt much better. The scale has finally started moving also Yeah!!! trying to get in some swimming, but it has been very cool here for the last week or so. Starting to warm up today. I have dug out my daughters old bike but haven't attempted to go for a ride yet. I haven't been on a bike for about 15 years, but all this biking talk is making me want to give it a try. trying to stay busy so that I am not wanting to eat. I still have way to much Head Hunger. I think it will help if i can get that scale to start moving.I also want to tke my measurments next week, I know my clothes are fitting differant . How many inches has everyone lost? have a good weekend everybody. keep up the good work.

    Hi everybody! July already??? Seems like last week we were all worried about our up coming surgeries???? Weght lost has been slow for me also, but I go for another fill tomorrow, sometimes I don't think I need it but other times I can't wait. So confused as to how this is to feel. I too bought the test tube protien shots, so hard to get in protien I find. This just gives me the extra boost I need. Starting to snack on some of the wrong things, especially on the weekend when I am together with my DDs and their hubbies. I try not to have them in the house, but we are all together on the weekends at the cottage and they want them,and they buy them. Then they ask me why am i eating them,am I not to be eating healthier??????????? I tell them I got help with my stomach not my brain. Sometimes I get so frustated I just want to Scream!!!!!!!! Sorry for the vent. I feel better now. Goals for JUly: Keep better track of what I am Eating.and getting more water in. Got to get that scale moving. Good Luck to us all, looking for that sweet spot.

    Survived the girls weekend and the booze. Didn't find I got any drunker (?) than usaul or any faster. Ended up having a lot of wine , just found that was something I could sip on all day while at the beach without to much trouble. Also dad some Mudslides (for the milk of coarse). All and all it was a great weekend. Had a spa treatment and did a bit of shopping and had a lot of different food and didn't have any trouble with anything. Except that I wanted to keep eating a lot longer than the band wanted to. That is very frustrating some times, But am so glad that it's there. I just kept thinking that nothing will taste as good as being thin will feel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Right???? I get my nxt fill on Wed. and am looking forward to having more restriction to get this weight lost going a little quicker. I can still eat my favorite food Bread with out to much trouble, and that is Not a good thing.

    Welcome back to all those who were on holidays!!!! Change is so nice for the mind and soul;. Well things are moving I am so happy to say, just hope I can keep them that way. Thanks for your tips, I think The benefibre has surely helped, I think "Ben" and I are going to be best buds! Have a good weekend everybody. I am off to the beach for a girls weekend. I shall be testing the band with booze . I haven't done too much drinking ( Alcohol) since getting the band. Only one person THat I will be partying with knows that I have the band. I hope that I can Still handle my booze. It just might be a liquid diet for the weekend. I am so excited about having a drink that I went to the liquor store and spent $200.00 because I couldn't decide what I might want to drink??????? Hope to talk to you all on Monday. Wish me luck.

    Ok...This is what I have eaten in the last few days: Breakfast: coffee w/milk or whitener 4oz sugar free yougart w/ berries Lunch: 2oz turkey breast 1/4 cup coleslaw 1/4 cup potatoe salad 2 tbsp cooked Beans Dinner: 2 sausages 4oz each 3/4 cup ceseaur salad 2 slices tomatoes 3 tbsp of lemon merange pie Coffee with lite cream 48 oz Water thoughout the day Snack: 10 fruit snack chips Breakfast: 8 oz vanilla Protein shake with 1/2 a banana & 2 tbsp benefibre Small coffee w/ cream Lunch: 10 light whole wheat crackers 1/4 cup cream cheese & bacon spread Dinner: chicken leg 3/4 cup sautied mushrooms 2 small pieces of frenchloaf brushetta bread decaf coffeew/cream Snack: 4 oz light vanilla pudding Water: 50 oz ( 1 bottle with added benefibre) So marchies what am I doing wrong? I haven't gone since Friday evening. Not having the incredible pains I had on the weekend but I still haven't moved either. I am soooooooo open to suggestions. Isn't anyone out there having problems?

    Wow!!!!!!!!!!!! Way to go newfie boy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :clap2::clap2::clap2::clap2::clap2::clap2::clap2: You are doing so great! Keep up the great work. I wish my scale was down that much. I keep playing with the same 3 lbs for about a month now. Go for a fill in 2 more weeks, but some days I can hardly get anything down and then the next I have no limit it seems. Very confused????????? Plus I am am having some real problems with being backed up. Had a very painful week end and then when things did get moving I felt even worse??? :omg: I eat a lot of things with fibre and such (I though) but I do have trouble getting in a lot of water. Need to start taking benifiber every day I guess. Any other sugestions. I find it really hard to get much fruit or veggies in I just don't have the room. This week I did eat a lot more fruit and vegies than I have been and look what happen, do you all think it is connected?? I am very confused as to what to eat.:help:

    Oh I can hardly wait. I do love clothes. I have way too many in every size for the trips up and down. The last time I lost over 100lbs I packed them all off to good will. Then I gained it all back and them some and had nothing to wear. I am not taking them anywhere till I reach goal and stay there for at least a year.(Rubbermade loves me) or they go so far out of fashion thet my kids tease me. (more than they do now about my clothes. ) I have recently discovered Coldwater Creek and just Looooooove their clothes. Can't wait to get to a smaller size to really enjoy them

    Things are going much better for me now. I have't PBd in over a week. I think I was just waiting to long between meals and was so hungry that I forgot the Bands rules about chewing and small bites. The scale has finally moved as well.I was down 3 lbs this AM YEAHHHHHHHHH now I hope it keeps going. Been in the pool for the last few days as well, Im sure that has helped to get things moving. Sophie: Weather or not it was a PB or Not trust us You will know a PB when it happens...LOL Thickchick: Come on...... curious minds want to know???? Hope everyone has a great weekend. I use to find that I could diet (I know dirty word) great all week and then gain everything back on the weekends. Thats just another reason why I am just Loving my Band.

    ThickChicktexas I am the sme way, seems I can't get much down. I wasted so much food lately on our road trip. i am going out to get some protien drinks as well. Hope this will help to make the scale move as well. I feel I am hardly getting anything down but the scale doesn't show it??? I was to go for another fill today, I don't think so...... I changed it for 2 weeks, maybe by then things will have got better or I will know what to eat better? If not do you think we might need a defill???

    Wecome back Nikki Sorry to hear about your Dad, hope everything is OK now. What a differance in health care, makes us really apprieciate what we have here, and we still tend to gripe everyonce and a while. Thats a great NSV.Have you taken your measurments at all, since the surgery???? I am set to do my this weekend. There are so many ways we can measure oour progress beside that old scale.I am down 3 sizes since surgery, even though I would like the scale to say I have lost more. Keep up the good work and hopefully life will get back to normal now that you are back.
  14. OK, My DH gave me my name. I have Fibomyalgia and a bad back so I can be found laying in my bed a good part of a bad day. My DH knows if I am not around I can be found in bed. He started calling me Snoozan Susan....but I kept telling him that I'm just resting. So now he calls me restin rosi or just Rosi for short.

    Hi Marchies in June Been away for a couple of weeks, doing a road trip with my DH. We started out from here (Ontario) and then to Cleveland Ohio and finished the tour in Little Rock Ark. Then We had to make our home journey in 2 days.. It was a lot of fun. We were part of the Hot Rod Power Tour . We had to eat out all this time which was a bit of a challenge to say the least. I have never wasted so much food in my life. I felt so bad but I wasn't going to take a chance keeping some of the things in the cooler.I did have a few PBs just because I think I forgot to Slow down & chew. I did eat waaaaaaaaaaaay to much cheese on the trip but it was a protein I found that was handly in the Car. (That and yogurt)But did I ever pay for it no BMS for days.......... hoping to get things cleared up now that I'm at home. I didn't think I was eating very much while away but the scale said I was up 2 this AM. Not too happy about that.Any suggestions for eating on the road for our next road trip????? I didn't drink nearly enough water either...never knowing how far to the next Pit Stop. So my goal for this month is to drink my water. Trying to change my next fill date Which is suppose to be on Wed. I think I need more time to adjust properly to this last fill. To make sure the PBing and sliming really was me eating too fast and not the band just doing it's job, so then I really don't need it any tighter, right? Does this make sense? Hoping to settle down now into good eating habits. Thanks for listening to me ramble but I am very confused as to how this band is really to feel? I felt I hardly ate anything for this 10 days but the scale didn't agree. Trying to stay positive.

    Oh yes, all the best . The waiting is definately the hardest part, before you know it you will be up and about and wonder why you were so worried? Life with the band has been nothing but great. Take care of yourself after surgery, give your self time to heal before you get frustrated that you want to start to lose weight. It still is a mojor surgery and our bodies need to heal before you start the next part of this life changing trip. Thoughts and prayers coming your way for the next couple of weeks.

    Hi Marchies. Hope everyone had a great weekend. I had my second fill last Wed. Now have 7cc in a 10cc midband.I can feel a lot of restriction now. Had my first PB. Oh My ......... not much fun, but at least I know what to expect now. I was surprised that it was with scambled eggs, But I did have some melted cheese on them.?? Who knew I still had to chew the daylight out of them...now I know. I feel this is one of the hardest things to get use to , is to be mindful of what you are eating. I am so busy multi tasking that I soone forget that I am eating and it has come to my attention with a little discomfort but now that I have had a PB I'm hoping this will help. Anyone else finding this a challenge to concentrate on eating? Hoping the scale will start moving again now that I have more restriction,but now its that TOM, who knows... Have a great week. LLSibley: way to go with the will power and congrats on your sons Wedding, they sure can be a stressful time.

    YEAH!!!!!!!!!!the scale is in the 60's today!!!!!!!!One set of tens at a time. I know what you mean about bored with food. It is only my hubby and I so I don't need to do a lot of cooking. I tend to grab something on the way home. Weekends are a bit more fun when we are together with our Girls and ther hubbies ( the guys like a good BBQ) so it feels more worthwhile to cook a great meal, since I will only be eating such a small bit.

    Hi everybody. I haven't posted in a while, don't know where the days go? Had my second fill yeaterday, can feel great restriction today. Hope this stays, it finally feels like its doing something in there. Must remember to chew, chew, chew.... I am so bad at multitasking while I eat. I had no idea, but the band sure has a way of reminding you. Congrats TammyJ on losing the 40 Big Ones!!!!!!!!!!!! Biking?????? I wonder if its true you never forget how to??? I am going to give that a try tomorrow. I am sure I won't be doing 18 miles WOOOOOOOOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good for you!!!!!!!!! wish me luck....I better find a bike helmut.
