    Frustration

I too was/am a slow loser. I spoke about it with my NUT and she just said to keep going and increase exercise and water after my 90 day checkup and I started to do 90 ounces if water a day and 1 hour+ in the gym everyday. The weight started to fall off after that. Every body is different and sometimes you gotta shake things up to see results. I would try and increase your activity level first and see how it goes but I do know how frustrating it s to e a slow loser. Good luck, you will be fine!!
  3. At 235 I looked in the mirror and didn't recognize myself. I could not believe what I saw and once I saw the number, I never ever got on scales, I knew if I wanted to be around for my kids I better do something fast!! I previously had lap band surgery and it was very ineffective so the sleeve was my next option and now at 180 I am so happy I did this!
  4. Fantastic! You look wonderful and so happy!
  5. So I should be grateful that I have gone 4 months without ever stalling but this is killing me! 14 days and not one ounce down. 75 to 80 minutes of cardio a day and 2 days of strength training a week, 80 ounces of water, 70g of protien and nothing, ugh so frustrated right now. I want to just go to he'll with myself but I can't. I also haven't been (regular) at all. No bm for 4 days. HELP

Its Offical Im In A Stall

So the mini vacation is over. Didn't do so bad. I will weigh in tomorrow and see if I need to do double workouts this week or if my nutritionist was right and the break in routine helped the stall. Thanks for the support!!

    Small Rant

I am a Fairly established sleever (3 months post op) and I feel I am doing well, I have lost 50 pounds and went from size 18 down to a 12/14. I am feeling great, I chose not to tell every person I know that I had the surgery, I only told the people I knew would support me so I chose not to tell my mother! She is very happy that I have been getting myself healthy and going to the gym everyday but she is always giving me backhanded compliments like " you are looking great but you gota Lot more to go so don't stop!" or like today when we were comparing my wedding day pictures to recent ones, I was married 8 years ago, I happen to be 10 pounds lighter than I was on my big day and instead of just saying I look good she tells me I do look good but last week my face looked thinner!! I am down 4 pounds from last week!! Sometimes I really just want to scream at the top of my lungs DUH I am not going to get any bigger I had Surgery!!! But I know it will be a holy war! I am not looking for a compliment every time I leave the house I would really rather no one say anything but I really really don't want this at all. Why don't people understand that you don't always have to speak!!!

Will I Ever Enjoy Eating Again?

There are thousands of wlp who can enjoy their food and plenty of it. I am one of them, I am almost 4 months out and since about 8 weeks I have been able to eat almost anything with no problem, I enjoy eating out and big family dinners, loving to eat too much is how we got to this point in the first place. If you pace yourself and put only what you can handle on your plate ( like what should be done if you don't have a sleeve) then you will be fine. You will enjoy eating again if you allow yourself. This surgery didn't just restrict your stomach it changes how you see food forever. I know it is hard and everyone has a different journey but please don't think you have made the wrong decision, you will not regret this I promise. good luck and one little trick about salad iceberg lettuce is easier to digest than romaine.

I agree that they can surprise you but I think if I came clean to her she would be ok with it but just giver her more ammunition to say a nasty or snide remark. I do love her and it hurts me that I feel I can't tell her this because it t has been one of the best decisions I have ever made but history proves she is not ready to hear this.

    Any Other Late March Sleevers?

I was sleeved on March 12. I am down 50 high weight was 235. I am able to eat a variety of things but usually only 2 ounces of each thing. I had a rough time about 2 weeks ago with digestion and my nutritionist suggested going back to soft foods for 2 to 3 days and it worked I was able to start eating again. Itsnt the exact same problem but try going back to basics and see how your sleeve responds. Good luck
  23. IT has been 8 years since I was able to shop in the non plus size of any store and today I went shopping for the first time since my sleeve surgery and almost 50 pounds later I can easily put on size 12 jeans in American Eagle! I am soooo grateful for this sleeve and for this forum, the support that is out here is amazing!!! Happy Friday!!
