Nsv That Made Me Smile Ear To Ear

Today while at the gym the receptionist stopped me to see my ID card. When he saw my pic on the screen where you swipe your key card he didn't believe I was the same girl. My pic they took 3 months ago looks nothing like the girl I am today. 34 pounds lighter and down 2 sizes!! I am so happy and grateful for my sleeve. I almost hugged that guy. -

Another Freaking Gain Grrrrrr
2ndtimesacharm replied to rodswife's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was losing slow at the beggining as well. In my 3rd week I got some great advice that might help you, first take a day off from walking and on that day do some strength training, for example lift 3 pound weights, 3 reps of ten, then do some sit ups or crunches around 50 or so then try and do some jumping jacks or jump rope for 5 minutes. then just try and relax for the rest of the day. My trainer informed me that even this early out if you do the same exercise every day no matter how much you are doing or how little you are eating your body will go into maintenance and you will slow your weight loss down. I am 5 weeks out now and down 30. Only after varrying the exercise did I see a large drop, 6 lbs last week. I hope this helps. Good luck -

I too have been craving tomato! I tried salad today and it wasn't good for me. I wound up just eating the 2 oz of chicken and leaving he rest. My stomach has been very cooperative so I can't complain I just would really love a leafy green salad! If thus was a month ago I would have been craving a big Mac so thank god for small favors.

I agree with the frequent weigh ins. Each week I tell myself ok try to only weigh once and then I wake up 3 days later and I have the urge and most of the time I m pleasantly surprised with a loss. I find it encouraging to weigh 2 times per week it keeps me on track! Congrats on the 21 pounds tha is fantastic!

I just thought this might encourage some of you who are in the 3rd week stall. I too experienced this and this week ( week 4) I changed up my exercise routine and increased my calories by 200 which brought me up to 800 a day. I am happy to report a two pound loss this week. It isn't a huge number but it s a loss not a gain. So on that note Happy Monday!!

Thought I Was One Of The Lucky Ones
2ndtimesacharm posted a topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Well, aside from being sick as a dog this morning, I really thought I lost a couple of pounds. And low and behold I did not escape the 3rd week stall. I really thought that by me doing 4 to 6 miles this week and taking in 600 calories or less each day I would have avoided it but no good! Ugh. Oh well gonna just keep on keepin on. Happy Friday! -
I felt the same way when I weighed in on Monday I was hoping for a bigger number. I have been reading that people have been losing 40 and 45 pounds by this week. I know we shouldnt compare but it is disheartening when you are killing yourself and you expect to see something that isn't there. I wish I had words f encouragement but I am kind of in need of some myself right now. Just know you are not alone in your feelings. I am right there. I just try to remind myself that even if I lee 2 pounds a week in 8 months 80 pounds will be gone. Good luck on your jouney!

Poor Food Choice Ruined My Whole Day
2ndtimesacharm posted a topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Tonight I ate sushi and it was not good for me. I did have something that I never ate before but wow I didn't expect this reaction from my bell. I threw up and not can't stop burping and pardon the tmi but I really just wish I could poop. I am going to take a step back tomorrow and do clear liquid all day to maybe flush out my belly. If anyone has suggestion for my " # 2 " problem I would appreciate it. It's been 6 days HELP. -

I got way too ambitious I am only 21 days out but I was cleared for sushi. I am feeling better now I only threw up a little bit but was very unpleasant. I drank like 28 ounces of water and I am doing well now. Gonna take it very easy on the food for the next week.
