I had my surgery Monday evening and I feel great! A little sore and my shoulder hurts a bit but its not like an exagerated pain. The bigger incision hurts and the others dont even hurt at all. Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk

So, tomorrow i'm flying out to El Paso then going to Juares to get banned by Dr. Rodriguez. Well I have been laying in bed all this morning scared thinking about the "what if" I'm scared about going alone and I'm scared about going to Juares!!! I don't want to get shot or kiddnapped like the show on the news! But i know it's for the better... for myself and my daughter. :'( keep me in yalls prayers! Hello all, I am new to this and needed some help. I will be having my lap band surgery 3/19/2012. Well, I am suppose to start my "pre op diet" today and I'm clueless! :/ I have a choice between a protein shake diet or a "proper protein diet" of course i picked the protein diet just because it's easier... So my question is how many protein shakes do i drink a day?? I want my liver to be shrunk by that day I would be devestated if they arent able to fo the surgery (im self pay). So can someone pleaaaaasse help with some advice.

I talked to my dr and he said one piece of chicken (boiled) would be ok but I got on the scale and lost 5 lbs in 2 days! so I'm sticking to the Protein shakes even though im hungry i think its mental hunger i was excited to see that i lost 5 lbs cant wait to get my band nxt wk. Yeah, I was stressing over a few chips.. I guess since I'm so use to just eating I didn't realize until they were down. I fell asleep really early yesterday and didnt have my Protein shake. So this morning i'm having my Protein Shake, it doesn't taste as good as the chips did yesterday though lol but i'm drinking it... slowly but surely. Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk

Wow that is great!! Im 27 and im at a size 3X in shirts my main goal is to be thin for my wedding day March 2013 I want to be a skinny bride! Lol... I drank my Protein shake this morning, i noticed I can't finish the whole 8 oz. I felt sooo full! I tried the Protein shakes and they aren't that bad a little gagging here and there lol but thats me being over dramatic lol and im getting mine done in Mexico only because it's waaay cheaper. I'm scared to death about the whole trip. I cried like 4 different times yesterday and my bf kept asking "wth?
