Good luck March 19th sleevers! This was my lucky day 1 year ago and I have been one lucky lady. Starting weight was 250, day of surgery 237, and my current weight is 163. I have had 0 complications. I would say the only little problem I had was my hair did fall out a little between months 6-9 but it was my fault b/c protein shakes get OLD but happy to tell you it stopped and I did not go bald:-) All in all this was the best decision of my life! I would do it over again in a heartbeat! Good luck and don't be nervous! It's really not a bad recovery! I took a week off from work but could of gone back in like 3 days! I have a cushy office job though... Anyways I hope this helps ease some of your anxiety:-)

Sleeved 3/19 and lost 63lbs. How is everyone else doing??? Started at 250 now 187!! So happy no regrets:-)

I have lost 63 lbs and I went from a size8 to 7 1/2. The 8's are too big:-)

I had surgery on 3/19/12 and I'm soooo ready to start working out but I'm getting different responses on when I should start my intense workouts. When did you hit the gym hard after surgery?

I'm 24 years old and started my liquid diet on 3/5/12 and had surgery on 3/19 and I'm down 23lbs in just 3 weeks!!! So exciting. I started at 246 and I'm at 223 so 24 more pounds and I will be under 200....can't freaking wait!

It's ok. Just start over tomorrow and remember that you are doing this to make surgery more safe for you. I think my fab thing on my pre op diet was blended canned soups and I would strain the chunks out.

3 weeks only b/c I had to be treated for h. Pylori before starting my liquid diet andbi was self pay.

I've been super cold since surgery on Monday, but I think it's bc ive dropped 17lbs and maybe the blood thinner that was given to me. I have been lucky and not thrown up at all since surgery. I hope you get go feeling better:-)

We should be sleeve sisters:-). My whole stomach is still painful but getting better. I'm not having acid reflux at all and I have not started my acid reducer yet but I hope you feel better quickly. I'm definitely feeling thebrestriction though b/c it takes me forever to drink one small protein shake:-) but i will get there. I go see my surgeon tomorrow bc I start work back on Monday so we will see:-). I'm just trying to stay as positive as possible and sip sip walk walk.....

I had surgery Monday as well and my tummy is still sore but getting better. I'm also having a hard time with the protein, but I'm just doing as much as possible. Good luck:-)

Hello All, I'm Jenny and I'm 24 years old & at the beginning of the journey I started out at 250lbs and I have been on pre op diet for 7 days and I have 7 more days to go but the good news is that I am DOWN 9lbs. SOOO Excited! It's crazy that that is how I have to do lose weight by starving myself, but all in all I'm loving it. I'm very excited baout the surgery, but at the same time with it only being 1 week away I am getting very anxious! I have thought about it for a long time and have tried every diet you can imagine and some worked but as soon as I slip up all the weight that I lose comes right back. IT'S A LOSING BATTLE, that I want to start winning!!!! I have been overweight since a kid and i'm just tired of being the "fat person" and my husband and I want to start having kids in 2 years and I have got to do something before that b/c I want to have HEALTHY BABIES!!! Most of my family has been supportive, but some have not and think I should do it the old fashion way, which I've tried and tried and tried. So I basically told the non-supporting people to save their breaths b/c I'm having this done and NOTHING or NO ONE PERSON will change my mind. I am ready for a CHANGE! I also want to do this and make it look very easy so even though I'm telling my husband how EASY(lie) the liquid diet is....I am soooooooo lying b/c my plan is to have this done and make it look easy b/c I want him to do it. That's right I'm going to trick my husband into surgery but it is only b/c I want him to lose weight and feel good too. STARTING STATS: 24 years old 5'5 Starting weight 250lbs 1 week after liquid diet 241.6 - 7 more days to go I will update as much as possible and add a pic soon. I'm really excited about this site b/c if it was not for all the you tube videos and seeing how well some of the people did then I probably would not be doing this now.
