Hi Rosiegirl, Thank you for the response! I hope you are in great health today after your pneumonia experience, I had walkin pheumonia and I know how that is and how awful a person can feel, but I can't imagine having it right after VSG surgery. Thank you for your well wishes. Many Blessings to you!

Suzanne, Thank you for your response! I will follow your direction very carefully, I remember my dietician did mention the chewing 20x's I just didn't remember that this might avoid the dumping issue. The heartburn thing I am actually used to I have had it for years and also use the Prilosec which works well, I have also heard that milk of magnesia helps very well. I just might take you up in the future for further questions Again Thank You! Blessings to you.... 43 yrs 5'4" 250lbs Goal Weight: 135lbs

I am getting sleeved on 3/14/2012. I think the only fear is the stories I hear of people having problems swallowing and "Dumping syndrome" I could deal with just about anything, even the heartburn but I have heard some horror stories on the eating things to fast or not chewed enough and it causes such discomfort that last a long while. I hate that feeling!

Hey New York Sleevers!! I am having my surgery with Dr. Dakin from Weils Cornell/Presbyterian Hospital on 68th Street on 3/14/12 (just got my date yesterday, Finally). Nervous has heck but excited for the new change in my life. I have read alot of the blogs on this chanel and it has given me alot of information and encouragement. I was wondering basically how long of a hospital stay there will be, I have heard of 1 to 3 days, (I really don't like hospitals LOL). Good Luck everyone on your journey and I wish you all Great Success! 5' 4" Weight 250 Goal 135-140
