Hi Ashley I'm getting lapband on June 4th would love to be a buddy. I did all of my pre-op stuff today. Starting to really believe its going to happy now. I'm so excited started pre-op diet this morning.

I have federal BCBS my doctor just submitted my information for aprroval for the lap band. Anyone have federal BCBS and live in GA? I'm so excited going on a cruise in October and would love to get banned soon so I can be recovered. Just want to know what kind of timeframe I'm looking at doctor office said about 30 days

Thank you!!! May coworker got banded a year ago and she seems to think I'm already approved because she said ot makes no sense for them to have me see the psychologist and nutriontist if the insurance hasn't agreed to pay. What do you think? I'm going to call the doctors office tomorrow to find out.

I'm so excited saw the psychologist today and I meet with the nutritionist on the 30 of this month. One more thing I can check off my list. Can hardly wait until I get have my information submitted to fed blue cross blue shield. Oh yeah I have to attend a support group and then my information will be submitted for authorization. I'm getting very very excited!!!!

@Lady T730.. Okay thanks the doctors office hasn't submitted my information to insurance yet I think I have to have my psychological evaluation and meet with the nutritionist first? I don't know really that's why I was reaching out on her to see how the process works.

@ changing2012 ok thanks I have BCBS federal just wanted to know what time frame I was looking at for approval. Just a little nervous want this so bad you know. I'm 5'2 @ 192 BMI is 35 with hb pressure and now issues with knees because of the extra weight have heard people with BMI less than 40 are hard to get approved.

Question.. I have my initial consult with the surgeon and he says I meet the weight requirement. I have an appointment with the psychologist for my psych eval and an appointment to meet with the nutritionist. When does they paperwork get submitted for authorization?
