Today makes one month since getting the lapband!!!! I'm down 13 lbs total from pre op diet and since surgery. I hope I continue to loose weight. This is a slow process.

Today I got my first fill since getting lapband on 6/4/12. Me be 1.6 cc in my band. I was thinking that's nothing. Is this about right for a 1st fill???

Thanks for the post. I'm going on a 7-day cruise in oct and by then I will be 4 months post op. I've been concerned about eating on the cruise and if there will be healthy choices for me. One thing for sure I do not want to have a stuck episode.

Thanks for sharing I have to admit I have been tempted to cheat and press my luck with eating too. I've read post from others on here saying they have no restriction after surgery. I am about 3 weeks post op too. After my follow up visit with the surgeon yesterday he said he put Fluid in my band during surgery. I'm so glad I did not cheat. I'm so afraid of getting stuck.

Just left my appointment I have loss 10lbs since getting banded on 6/4/12. I'm so excited thought the scale would never move. He says slow is best and he only want he to loss 1-2lbs a week. Is this on track with others? Would like to here from others who we banded around the same time that I was.

I'm sorry you aren't feeling well. I haven't had a episode yet but what does it feel like? How will you know you got something stuff. What were you eating?

so how long have you been a bandster I was banded 6/4/12 started mushies this week. I wake up starving. F/U is this wed first visit with surgeon since getting banded. I'm wanting to eat everything but too scared to cheat. Don't want to do any damange you know. I've loss 15 lbs since pre o/p diet and surgery.

Lol this is so funny I didn't get to count. They told me they were putting something in my IV to help me relax, when I woke up I was in recovery. Only thing I remember is being wheeled into the OR and getting on the table.

Getting banded June 4th need a buddy/mentor. Any one in the Savannah GA area.

I'm doing good post op 17 days out since the surgery. I have been starving I guess the swelling is going down now. It's getting harder and harder to follow the rules. I've loss about 14 lbs since starting the pre op diet and surgery can definately tell a difference already.

Hi there it's nice to see a post from someone whose band date was do close to mine. My surgery was June 4h. I'm doing great. Glad you are too. I'm still on full liquids i.e. Protein shakes Jello pudding broth Popsicles etc. I will be so glad when Monday gets here so I can move up to mushy foods. So what phase are you right now. What has your experience been like? I'm still a little sore but hardly any pain after about the fifth day I started feeling like my old self. So far I've loss 10 lbs. hope to hear from you soon. So glad to hear good weight loss stories. I have heard so much negative from others saying the band isn't going to work and I'm not going to loose weight. I was banned on 6/4/12

Who this conversation seems all too familiar. I got banned on Monday and I only told a few people. Since then more people are finding out and they are saying oh I'm doing it the natural way like my way is bad. I'm 5'1 at 192 lbs and my BMI is 36. I have high blood pressure and issues with my knees because I'm too heavy. I've been on every diet out there you can think of and as soon as I stopped dieting the weight came right back. Not that's my friend know that if got the band they are all claiming to exercise and eat healthy. Like they are trying to prove something to me. I don't get it. But to answer your question know you are not crazy. It amazing me how much I have motivated others to exercise and eat healthier but before they doin out I got the lapband they were not doing anything.

Hi Mea Today is my 2nd since my lap band surgery so far so good. I haven't experienced any pain from the trapped has just mainly sore. Occasionally I will get nausea but that's it. The surgery is not as bad and some make it out to be. My Dr is the best and the whole surgical team.

Just read your post will the heat from the heating pad hurt my incisions?

Hi I'm having surgery Monday for the lapband reading you post caught my attention. I'm getting ready to get the last of my post op items and I'm taking you advice on the peppermint tea and the gas x strip I'm curious about the heating pad will that heat affect my incisions? Just a little concerned.
