Hi guys there's something that has been bugging me. INSURANSE after the surgery. I know I got approved and all that and that we all have a copy for the hospital some higher some lower mine was $300. I know they told me I have to cover 10% of that but if the hospital itself was 54K or so do the math it's crazy. Can I ask you after you got approve and sleeved how much did you ended up paying? I really need to be able to sleep hehe thanks in advance

The thing about protein is that will help you heal inside out and yes it's necessary. I couldn't do any of the protein supplements like isopure so I picked the GNC one lean chocolate milk and it's pretty good for snack time. The thing about food intake is to slowly allow your stomach to tell you what is tolerated. Trust me I've wanna cry after some foods. Mashed potatoe not too dry though feels good with cheese. A slice of moist mozzarella. However to me wow been eating a bit more solid foods so early I see why it could be painful. If you could do onion soup without the bread it's also good. Your body needs to heal and as you know every week it gets better. Good luck!!! Keep in touch

I actually have the same question I'm 3 weeks out and yeah I can also eat the same amount or more. I'm pretty scared that I'm over eating

That's normal I hate how itchy it gets too. I had a pretty bad experience with mine. It didn't get infected but it hasn't stopped leaking for the past week so I went to the doctor and he opened it up it was the most painful thing, now it's wide open and getting better but I honestly got freaked out when I saw the hole open

Hi there I had the same problem 2 weeks ago right after surgery. I had to stay 2 extra days just to make sure. Many thoughts came to my mind like what if the doctor made it too tight. Then I learned that that's not possible. I was puking even the water. After many tests even that white liquid came back out but it was just some inflammation and it's very normal it will get better nothing to worry about. As many people told me it doesn't matter how much it hurts to get up. WALK WALK WALK you'll be doing yourself a huge favor. Good Luck!!!! Every day gets better

Hi there I got approved by bcbsnj but my bmi was 43. I haven't gotten the bill yet and that's what's scary. They told me I have to cover the 10% of my surgery just the hospital itself it's around 37K can you imagine. So do the math. it's crazy

Loved how his staff were always on top of everything because I have to admit I'm a procrastinator however I'd say that I only saw DR Bertha twice. On my first consultation and the day of my surgery. I wish I could of ask him more questions. He did a great job and people told me he had been doing this for years. But I kinda like better DC Ainaci just because I had more visits from him

I was like that the first day,shacking weak uggg!!! Just terrible but i found out that i wasnt drinking the proper amount of Water and Vitamins as well. Good luck

Today is my 5th day out. I woke up in the morning with pain all over my stitches completely weak and my whole body was shacking. My whole recovery has been really hard. I had to call my husband to come and get me because I'm not only feeling weak physically but emotionally since I never thought that the recovery part could be so hard. I got sleeved to get better but sometimes it makes me sad to think what I have done to my body. I was sooooo excited to get my sleeve and everyday my thoughts were strongly positive that I never thought that something could go wrong. Am I alone in this? I'm very scared that this was way more than I could handle it. I'm such a vibrant and positive person that I'm surprised of this outcome

Thank you all for the support you're a true blessing for me and I can't thank you enought for encouraging and inspire me to keep up. So I'm not giving up that's for sure. Thanks again

Yeah you're right. Before my sleeve I thought the day couldn't come earlier but I need to be brave now there's not going back. Thanks!!!!

Hi thanks I did call him but he's not the most helpfull person. I do think I've been lacking on hydration. I'm trying harder but I don't want to fill up my sleeve too much and following the rule of stop drinking 1/2 hour before and after food. Thanks so much for taking the time to answer I appreciate it

Hi i got sleeved on 04/09 and it wasn't the best experience specially cuz of the gas and the stitchest. I was so possitive about the surgery that I never thought it could take me this long. I can't even focus on my weight when all I want is to be able to be pain free. Any suggestions from you guys who did so well? Btw congratulations you are doing great!!!

I never got that but I know for a fact that many people get it from dehydration and as you know sleevers or bypasses we have to keep hydrated

I got my sleeve at 11:30 am it's 3am and I'm in pain inside and outside the wound in my belly hurts a lot and I'm kinda hungry since even water hurt when it went down. Any recommendations? How long did your pain last?

How long did it take you to start swallowing normally?

I'm actually going on my 3rd day at the hospital. I'm really nervous and in pain. Not even water wants to stay down. Everybody else went home. I was so excited to get this done now Im just scared

I'm days away from my surgery. My doctor didn't ask me to be on any diet, but I'm nervous and I over eat when I'm nervous or excited. I bought all the post op liquids and vitamins but I I'm not feeling mentally prepared for giving up and yes I'm very excited about a new life but I'm running out of time to just wake up one day and say good bye to bad foods. I've been wanting this for years and now it's here How did you guys feel about your relationship with food before surgery?

Has anyone tried the CELEBRATE ones, they're kinda expensive but I don't wanna feel sick if I don't like them
