My papers say nothing about not smoking, but I will reread to double check. To be realistic I really doubt all sleevers are non smokers or could quit smoking and start liquid pre-op diet at the same time. Many of smokers have surgery every day. I am not worried about 3 cigs to get me threw.

I am still pre-op but read that the 1st phase of south beach is great for sleevers after you can eat solid again. I would think soup, cottage cheese, applesauce, mashed potatoes, yogurt and sure there are more options til u can eat solid.

Many prayers for this weeks surgeries. Day 2 on my 2 week pre-op liquids. Down 9 pounds, must be detoxing me. Doing breakfast carnation for breakfast and soup for dinner, Popsicle and jello for dessert and as many protein shakes in the day if I am hungry or weak feeling. Plus as much water as I can drink. 12 more days til surgery, it's very surreal for me. -
Ok started my 1st day of my 2 week of liquids and I was not prepared. Went to the store and have everything now and will get started tomorrow. Gosh I could do a low carb for 2 weeks, but this is going to be a huge struggle for me. Need prayer please, thanks everyone!

I just found this thread. I'm being sleeved on the 28th. I start my 2 weeks of liquids this Friday. I started getting my nervous stomach today so it's setting in that yes, I am going to do this! -

Yes, it's Ketosis. I would get it doing Atkins. I use a tongue scraper and it helps. -
I am getting sleeved April 28th, I have lived on nexium in my 30's til insurance made it a 3 tier drug and now use Prilosec OTC. What is nexium Mups? And can I buy them in Mexico?

Thanks, I ordered the lemon tea which had high reviews, the roadside lemonade & fuzzy navel for water mixing. I did get the vanilla bean torte & cappuccino for mixing with milk. Wish me luck? Thanks again! -
2 weeks for me, on my paperwork for my BMI it said 1 weeks liquids, but Mr Doctor wants me to do 2 weeks, Ugh! So glad I start on a Friday.

Am getting sleeved on the 28th of April. And they do removed the stomach that is cut from u and take it out of ur body right? I have heard they reattach and let it inside you. That freaks me out. Leave it inside you. Sorry, typo.
