I guess it depends on insurance companies ... This what my coordinator for my surgeons office said .. Hope it to be true I want to lost thirty pounds

I'm just now starting my six months I wish I had 3 more months to go .. That's good u tried my coordinator just inormed me that on the six month diet I could lose as much as I want they just want to see if I'm following the rules ... I think u should use the time to loss more weight and practice presurgery reginmen ... Good luck to u

Same policy different provider

Okay , I call my insurance company which is breech street and they informed me that my plan hasn't changed just my ppo provider to Aetna so I don't get she say my plan the same but I'm tryna figure out of this mean I do what Aetna requires or beech street but the rep said everything is stool the same ..I don't get it

This is what I'm going thru except my new plan doesn't active until aug. 2012 and my health insurance now is breech street which covers it I'm afraid that this new one won't Aetna ... I'm tryna continue and prepare for the new insurance tryna go by thier requirements ...sad thing is that I don't no if my employer excluded it and would they consider it a pre existing condition ?

Hi my name is Kim I now have beech street insurance my insurance is changing Aetna ... My insurance before covered wls I want to kno is there anyone with this insurance and what was the process like I'm in the middle of my process with just sleep study , phys eval and six month diet .. The enrollment for this new insurance is in June and it will take effect in August .... So I just want alittle in site on it I kno insurance varies depending what your employers pick ...

My insurance covers it I had to find that out first my surgeons office required that ... I just think he should call me and tell me why and I think it's unfair to pay a copay to find out

Yes I was open w him from the beginning my heart doc is on board w it I have recommendation from him my pcp even asked me once how did my heart doc feel about it ... But to answer your Q my insurance company pays for it my surgeons nurse would to find that out in the beginning to even continue on w the process and I've calls several times ... Yes it's only been four months but I told him in the beginning that we could build a patient doc relationship and he had his nurse call me and say he would do I just think he should tell me why he's not and I don't want to pay a copay to found out he's my pcp he should just call me

I haven't had surgery yet still in process .. I stop when I decided to have the surgery cold turkey it's been three months ... I still crave only in the mornings ... I decided to quit for myself and to show my doctor I was serious about wls ... I want it do bad that giving my cig up was the best thing

I decided to share With ever one in wanting to get sleeved .. I felt comfortable w my choice of wanting this surgery because it's people who are in the same situation as some of us who are over weight , obese and need help but don't know where to start are fear of talking to their families about wanting the surgery .. If someone says why did I have the surgery and not do it on my own ill tell them that if I don't have this surgery I will die from the complications of being obese watch their faces change ... I'm not sleeve yet I'm in the process and I want to say god bless and good luck to each and everyone of you

My son is nine and I told him that I was getting a smaller tummy and that the doctor was gone shrink it w doctor tools but it wasn't going to hurt cus I was going to be sleep .... And he didn't ask me any more Qs but you know boys they are not as engaged as little girls are

Thank you very much .. I'm going to north lake surgical association Dr Carl Oryodone and it's across the street from st. Tammany hospital that the hospital they use .. Imy paper work have not be sent in my pysch eval is $ 225 so I'm tryna put that together my insurance said I needed six month diet do I hope they just forget about it cus I don't wanna wait six more months but if I have to I will .. Im 5'8 and I'm 285 everyone looks at my like I'm crazy cus my body is well put together but I'm not at the weight that allows me to he healthy

Yes I've started the process , i live in covington and today I just got a call from my pcp that he was going to write my letter and after that I need a pysch eval. ... I did all my blood work , EKG , stress test ect but I don't have the six month supervised diet but the lady at my surgeon office that deal w the process said not worry about it .. And my insurance company does not require you to any health issue as long as your Bmi is 40 cus I don't have any besides a hiatal hernia and acid reflux do to that ..
