Are u having any problems with your Lapband ? I read some where in Aetna policy about revising to the sleeve and if I'm not mistaking it said if it was medically necessary ... You should read aetna policy it online but u no our employer pick there on stuff that they want us to be covered for

It took about the third month for the craving to go away but I must say stoping has cause me a little sweet tooth not bad because I've always been a salty sour kind foods girl so but I've gain 20 lbs since quiting and I've recently loss 10 lbs cause I'm in my second month of supervised diet got for to go

I quit smoking in march cold turkey after smoking for 7yrs and I feel so much I don't even get pluersy any more or I'm not out of breath ... Congrats on your new found health

Imskinny I'm happy to hear u got approved I thought I would be rt there w you but my ppo provider is changing to Aetna in aug which is great cause have beech street and never heard of them but my surgeon advise start doing the requirements of aetna ... She strongly advise me to do the six month diet .. I am now in my 5month of that so maybe December but good luck and pls keep me posted on your success

I read in my policy where they did a study on this on 17 ppl most of them had to get revise to sleeve and two if them stomach unfolded and my insurance does not consider this surgery

In 5'7 1/2 when have surgery my goal is to be 150 which my husband thinks that's way to thin which 10 yrs ago I was 180 and look damn good my husband think this is a better look for me I guess I go off of looks and how I feel when it happens ..also my husband like me curvy ...he really like my full face

I haven't had surgery yet I'm in the process but I told family and friends of my intent to have surgery ... When I do have it I think anyone who ask I'll to them because it bother me when ppl say diet and exercising high protein low carbs is what they would tell some one .. It's misleading to a person we all have tried that and been unsuccessful and to have a person think that the way you loss weight with out extra help is unfair the person that's asking might need help ... But ppl that are just being kinda nosey I might or may not tell I don't kno I just think ppl will look at our result and think they could accomplish the same result on just those facts and it's unfair but it your choice to tell and that's just my opinion .. I to have Aetna hope it goes well for me I have 5 months of the diet and the eval hope to be sleeve for Christmas or bring in the new year

It may also depends how u take care of your self and body ... Some wls cause pol to be vitamin deficiency and vitamins and drinking plenty of water could help maybe just a thought

The sad part is I told him what I wanted to do in the beginning he was willing he had me do all kinds of tests EKG ,, stress test ect. But when it came to him writing the letter he was like okay .. Call to check and see how it was going his nurse in formed me dr......... Is not going to write that letter for I diet and exercise .. I demanded to speak w him .. Nurse said he don't talk to patients over the phone WTH!!!! I'm his patient and I can't talk to him unless I make an appointment .... I just wanted to kno why he changed his mind he owes me that since I was up front

I thought I was Finish the doc I had before all he had to do was send the letter two weeks later I called no letter and he said he wasn't going to do it so I had to find a new doctor oh boi in the mist of that in aug my ppo provider was changing ... So there was no way I was gone find another doc by then so now I have the six month diet I didn't before but I'm now going by my new ppo provider requirements so that when my new insurance starts I'll be ready .. But it sucks cus my other ppo provider I didn't need the diet I was almost there but my coordinator advise me to do it so we won't have any problems but boi was I mad at my old doctor .. I have a new one very supportive

I'm sorry this happening to u but in my opinion , it's gone get worst not from experience but reading and being on this forum .. Many ppl here relation are not up to standards before surgery so after the surgery you found your inner confidence and you gone feel better and look better and want more from him I would try to work on it now before it's to late many ppl on here got divorce after wls

This going to be interesting I was thinking the same thing ... My doc ask me have I done weight watchers . South beach ect .. I said no but I have been on diets where medication was prescribed but i wonder if not had done all those other ones will it matter

I haven't been sleeved yet but I had a hernia repair 5 yrs and the pain omg the pain the nerves where they had to fix the hernia was just hurtful now five yrs later I have another hernia and I I could think about how painful it was he first time and I had gas pains

That's where I got my recommended dr from the surgeon office .. Cause my dr wasn't willing .. Congrats it's gone be smooth sailing ... ( wishing nothing but good vibes ) ????????????????????

I'm an ex smoker I stopped in March this year when I decide I wanted the sleeve cold turkey and I want the sleeve and to be healthy so bad that was enough for me I hope things get better for u and I think they will the thing I missed about smoking was the inhale and exhale part ... My friends use to say why do u smoke cus I wouldnt hold it in long enough ... But I will tell u it could be done ... Good luck to u and I will be following you to see how it goes

My pcp was supportive until it was time to do the paper work he told me he would write the letter and two weeks letter I called to see if it was done the nurse said dr ****** wasn't going to write that letter for u and just do low calories and exercise I damanded to have him call me .. I wanted to kno why he changed his mind his nurse informed me that dr ****** don't call patients .. WTH !!! I can't even speak w him ... Well I have a new Dr and he's great and that it was a great idea to have the sleeve ...I'm not sleeve yet I have eval and 5 months left for supervised diet ... My thing is the Dr can't support u now pre op well how will he support you post op you need that from the beginning cus to convince him his heart is not there and you want a doc who's heart and expertise to be there for u ..
