If u having a hernia repaired at the same time u could use that as your disability and leave the wls out of it .. I think that's what I'll do when the time come

To be honest I think the 6mos supervised diet is great it's frustrating because of the wait but it's worth it .. And to answer your Q I think most insurance not all require a weightloss program w pcp , surgeon , nut or dietician you would have to call your insurance to make sure cause your may not ... I'm on my third month and I think it allows you to stop your bad habits and learn some post sleeve habits .. Also lose alittle weight ... Oh your I'm seeing a doc on the Northshore at northlake surgical associates Dr Karl Orydone across from st Tammany hospital . I for got to say that the has the day so on rather you do the supervised diet .. The surgeon may put u on a liquid diet after approval

I'm 29yrs old .. 5'7 1/7 my pre op weight is 280 my goal weight is to be 150 but my husband think I should be 180 my weight before having kids .. He prefer me thick as he don't care for skinny women so I guess I just wait to I get sleeve and go by how I look and feel to decide my goal

I'm not sleeved but someone on here said they drink extra water before they go to bed and it helped them w the sick feeling in the mornings ..u could give it a try

I've done some research and I've find many people had to get pilcation revise to the sleeve because the part of the stomach that was folded the blood flow was off causing that part of the stomach to die off .. I've visit the pilcation forum .. You might find ppl who ate going through the same thing your going through .. But in my opinion it was many ppl on that forum maybe cause the precedure it's not covered by insurance ... I would like to ask you a Q do u want this over the sleeve cus it's not permanent but if u think about why get the pilcation over the sleeve I doubt that you'll get your stomach unfolded back to normal size after losing a lot of weight ... I think if you gone go for it do it big ... My opinion good luck on your journey

I'm not sleeve yet but after much research I believe our body decides our goal weight I think your body give u signs that allow u to no what's good weight for "Your" body we cant all go by numbers which we are all different body types in my opinion if u have More of a athletic body type you would be on the high Bmi side ... You look amazing and I wish all I was worried about was my size 8 .. I'm still in the process .. I'm in my third month of my supervised diet

My supervised diet is w my pcp .. On my first visit my doc ask me what kinds diet I wanted to do I told him high protein and low carbs .. He also said exercise as often as u can like walking .. Each visit I go to he weight me and oh dont forget to let him do your height .. But anyway on each vist he document my weightloss my exercise routine in the doctors notes .... Some insurance want u to use weight in paper the write on so u might. Wanna check that out

The same thing has happened to me .. And sometimes my screen goes black and won't load anything when I open this app .. I wonder dies this only happen on mobile phones

Hello everyone my name is Kim I'm 28 yrs old four boys 290lbs 5'8 I have acid reflux , hernia ( 2nd time do to weight ) Pvc's and joint pain ... Ok. So my pcp I've been seeing him for four months now and when I first saw him I told him I was interested in having the sleeve done and the reason for seeing him was to get healthy and the sleeve ... I ask him would support me is that something he believe in if not I find another doc that would help me .... So i did all my blood work test and other requirements ... So make a long story short two and a half weeks ago my doctor nurse called and said he would write the letter ... So today I call to find out how was it coming along the nurse said I'll call you back w the answer so she called me and said my pcp said he's not going to write the letter ....what!!!!! That I needed to diet and exercise .... What and you just told me you gone write it now u changed your mind and didn't call me to tell me this just has me thinking for two and a half week that you where working on it ... Oh !! That's not it had his nurse tell me this but didn't tell me why she said he made his choice .... I said if you say yes then no and you don't say why that's not rt I have the rt to know why he changed his mind .... I have to found another doctor and start over I can just walk in doctor office and say I want this the pcp doesn't know me ... Please if you have any advice about what I should I be glad to hear them

No , I never did find out why he did that .. I refuse to pay a copay to found out .. And writing him a letter would be a wAste of my time .. He wouldn't rt back ...this the same doc who wouldn't even give me a call to explain ... But I owe his office $33 I be damn if I pay it .. But instead of having my doc I have now request my records I went and picked them up myself to let them kno I'm not giving up w or w/o them .. The nurse mention my new pcp could have request for them put I wanted to show my face ...

I kno how u feel guess what happen to me my previous insurance didn't require a 6 month so when I found out the company I worked for was changing ppo providers and the insurance was changing beechstreer to Aetna with in a month I decided to follow Aetna requirements and I need a 6 month so I'm will be in my third at the end of this month ... It's frustrated cause we just want to start our journey but this has allowed me to start dieting track my food and change a view thing

Hello everyone to up date u guys I have found another pcp and I'm now doing my supervised diet. W him and he okay w me wanting to get sleeve and he's helping me I'm on my third month w him and my diet .. And yes I got all my records sent to his office ... I also use u guys advice and ask my coordinator of a list of docs so it all worked out wish me luck cause after this on to get my approval

I feel it will work out .. If it comes done to it u might have to tell her .. Hey what do they say if u not getting talk about u not important (sense of humor ) but real talk u don't want everyone to no but they will soon after Q your weightloss you'll be surprise how supportive ppl could be when your honest

Yes your rt about being employed for a year and not only that you have to have completed so many hours .. So if your not full time that would affected u as well .. But I agree w everyone else just but in as pto ..

I for got mention the the scaled scared me to cause all thoe my Bmi is like 46 my body is well proportion I'm 5'7.5 and everyone looks at me and say you don't look that big and I think I've even done it a few times... That kept me in denial. For years

Mine was when I got back up to 280 .. I year before that I lose 30 lbs .. And got married I can't fit in my wedding dress anymore .. But anyway when I decided to do this I stop smoking that didn't help cus in two months of stopping I gained 19 lbs put at 299 my highest and I said hell no I be damn if I go into the three's .. I'm now on my 6 month supervise diet and lose 9 pounds in a month
