hey all, i spoke with the nurse at my doctors office. she said its fine to have the arm implant. Not sure if ill get it or not because 1 out of 3 women that have it completely stop their period. I dont know if thats a good option for me so i'll be looking into other forms. Thanks for your help

are these just for like 10-20 lbs ....or 65 lbs?

your absolutely right. My mom had gastric bypass maybe about 10 years ago and I gave her a hard time about it. I told her she was taking the easy way out. NOW i understand. I think 1/2 of me was scared of her having the surgery because of course i was young and i didn't understand fully....and 1/2 of me was jealous because I have been overweight since i was about 12. Now I understand that it is a tool that i'm going to use to better my health and that i've wasted enough of my young adult life and if i ever want to have a baby and get married and be happy then i need to do this for myself because obviously, I can't do it just by dieting. I just don't have enough will power!!!! I'm not willing to waste another 26 years being a chunky monkey lol. Thats great your pretty close. My drive is going to be about 10 years i believe. My moms boyfriend is spending time in SC so we may stop and see him, and i have a couple friends down south so we may venture to see them. We're gonna take our time since i dont have to be there monday. This is so exciting and i'm glad your the eyes too! I mentioned it in the other thread we were posting in but is anyone else going to do VLOGS on your progress? I used you tube to document my weight loss with weight watchers last year....and I plan on recording all of the good bad and ugly of this journey. I love watching people's videos and seeing what I'll be going through. Dogs-that is a hard one too haha. I have a lab and a pug. my boyfriend is going to watch them the 6 days that my mom is with me. Then that friday he's taking them to my moms house so she can watch them when i fly her back to jersey. my issue is not being able to lift my pug for a month or two she's 25ish pounds. Anyway, so since your still 4.5 hours away-are you considered out of town or local???? They're requiring me (and the other out of towners) to be with in 30 mins of the center for the appointment the next week. (ill be there for atleast 12 days) are you required to do that as well???

I agree with everyone. Never seems like the best option. Why start up again? This is your chance to become healthy why go back to one bad hobby if you've just given up 2. Go 2 for 2 and be HEALTHY!!!

Good luck Meredith! Keep us updated. I dont know how it works since your local. I know they only do us out of towners on wednesdays. And as of last week when I changed my date , Lauren said they had all of august open (i took 8/8) i know july 18th was still open...maybe you can take one of those How far are you from conway??? (sorry if you said it before, i didn't catch it) Let me know how your consult goes with him too....I have mine in a week and a half.

hi again girls! My weight is 260ish. (give or take 5 lbs here and there) 5'4 -5'5 goal weight is 140ish My consult is april 17th and my surgery is august 8! I'll be staying in myrtle beach.

Hey Ladies! I'll be staying in myrtle beach, I'm renting a private condo at Sun N Sand. She gave me from saturday-saturday (2 full weeks) for 1100. It's one room, with a king bed, and a full futon. Ocean front. she said you can lay in bed and see the ocean, I splurged a bit too. I'm taking my mom the first half and my boyfriend the second half (flying on in , and one out on that friday)....so I'm kind of giving them a little vacation too since they'll both be taking care of me. Plus I figured If i'm going to be stuck in the hotel that much i NEED something to look at and some place to go if they drive me insane and I can't drive Dani thats an amazing price i still can't believe you got that!!!!! I'm so excited for us all. Is anyone else going to VLOG they're experience? I want to do YT vids. Mimi, if you can start a forum for Us all to keep track of eachother that will be great! I'm so excited for us all!!! Theres a guy right before dani I think that is getting the sleeve, he's on this forum ill pass it along to him as well, then dani, mimi's july 11th and im august 8th, and i forget when meredith's is. Maybe we'll come acrossed more people with dates near ours!!!

@meredith, is that on the list of the shakes???? They're ready to drink? ideally i'd like RTD but they seem a lot more expensive. The tubs are just a pain in the butt but if im saving a lot i guess thats better . Since i switched my dates around, I have to put more money out for the flights and hotel so i want to try to cut corners lol @mimi, wheres resortquest??? In conway or myrtle? I was looking at a condo at sun & sand in myrtle beach. i haven't booked yet.

You can do it, just be strong. Look at how many other people did it. I guess you just have to have the will power. I told a friend "just think, you have to do it or you CAN'T have the surgery. Maybe if you think of it that way, you wont let yourself cheat!!!!" .....(this is coming from someone who isn't on the pre-op diet yet so I have no idea what your going through , or going to go through ...YET.) Good luck be strong, i know you can do it!!!!!

I did a juice fast ( you would need a juicer and a ton of fruits and veggies) if your really dedicated and don't want to do protein shakes it could work. I lost 11 lbs in 9 days . Message me if you need more info.

Not really sure, i was thinking the muscle milk light but i heard the vanilla one isn't too good. I'll have to look more into them. I dont like protein shakes to begin with. I wonder what tastes the most like slim fast...I don't mind the taste of them. lol

Wow, thanks for the price info lulu. @pook- I'm doing a loan, if its paid withi 48 months i believe it is...its 0% interest. I'm moving my surgery date up a bit. The flights are paid for but since i have to change them it'll be 96 dollars each (flying my boyfriend down to SC, and my Mom home to NJ from SC *we're driving down together*) and of course the hotel fee and the price of my bills for two months so i dont have to worry about all that lol. As far as his surgery numbers, He was in New Jersey first and moved down to AC when they recruited him. I'm sure he had more in new jersey that weren't counted towards his number in SC. I read some where that he only does 3 surgeries a week....which to me is good because he's focusing on the people that he already did surgery on. I feel comfy knowing that hes not rushing through doing 1000 surgeries in a week like it seems some doctors try to do. Not sure the specifics but if i find out ill repost.

Did you get the 8000 price? @Mal-thats awesome, im actually going to be staying in myrtle beach when I have my surgery I want to be on the beach if i'm going to be staying there that long lol. @dani-25 days....whatttttttttttttttttt!!!?!!?
