Who Did You Tell?
futureskinnypants replied to Gene1970's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
So far a couple close friends know. My mom and boyfriend (they're taking me),My aunt knows. I'm in home care so my one patients mother knows ...the other two patients spouses think I'm just going on vacation, and my agency that i work for thinks i'm going on vacation. I've been debating on whether or not I want to come right out and post photo's of me in the hospital and let everyone know. Not quite sure yet. -
What Would Happen If I Cheated?
futureskinnypants replied to SkinnyOnMe's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Aside from the complications i'm a strong believe that one bite leads to another. My friend had the sleeve and has lost a good amt of weight...but then started eating bad foods and lots of drinks and now shes gained back some weight. She thinks that her stomach has stretched out....That sucks I mean we go through all this to eventually hit goal and end up screwing it up for a couple good bites of food. Isn't one purpose of the sleeve to change out ways??? <-------------tough love too Don't cheat! -

All Inclusive (& Affordable) Self-Pay In Us
futureskinnypants replied to TheSkinnyCow73's topic in Insurance & Financing
Just stumbled upon this post , i know its late but im having the surgery with doctor washington from coastal bariatrics on august 8th. His staff and him are amazing and i feel 100% comfy with it. I decided I (personally) wanted to stay in the US. Its a 12 day stay but it is all inclusive. The reason why it was 8k was because they needed the extra surgeries to get accredited for a center of excellence faster ( i hope i worded that right ) It's in another post that I copied and pasted from an email (from their nurse) They have been wonderful. The doctor moved down there from NJ and has a lot of experience, of course not as many as mexico but he doesnt do nearly as many daily surgeries as they do down there.....again, personal choice. If anyone is interested I hear their price is now 18,500 -

Amazing!!!! That must feel wonderful! Congrats skinny girl!!! -
Of course I don't know the whole story or how you feel but if you guys are still "together" why not tell him he can move in but his hoarding can not come with him? You guys can fix your relationship (if its worth saving) and you can get back on track. Win win....IF thats the situation. Good luck with your losses.....hey, atleast you lost those 8 lbs and didn't gain them it does get better...some how everything turns out how its supposed to so keep your head up!!

I should add on, *doc in vegas does it for a good bit less than the others i found. theres always financing if you don't have ALL of the cash.
-
I was thinking about mexico but after doing much research and thinking that mexico wasn't for me...i stumbled upon a doc that was doing it for 8000...His "special" price is now over but i'm sure there are many in the US that do it if you don't want to go to mexico. It's all a personal preference. Just do your home work. (ps , i know theres a doc in vegas that does it....if you need the link you can message me and i can dig it up for you. )

Hey all. I'm in home health care and I take care of a child that is 65 pounds. I will be having surgery right before his summer vacation so I wont have to lift him or push his wheel chair up the ramp. My doctor's nurse said at 4 weeks out, I will be able to lift 20 lbs. So my question is, When can I lift more than 20 lbs. *I have a 25 lb pug that i will need to lift at some point too!* and more specifically When can I A) push his wheel chair up the ramp ? (its about 100 lbs all together and usually i am half winded after but thats just because of my weight now.) and When will I be able to Lift my 65 lb patient without risking a leak or something??? Help!!!! Thanks in advance!!!

Lifting Question.
futureskinnypants replied to futureskinnypants's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
lol ill have to weigh her. She was 33 lbs when my grandmom was still alive because she would feed Leila donuts and Cookies and anything she ate lol. I got her down to 18 lbs by walking her, changing her food and cutting the treats. but i thought she was TOO skinny so now I think shes somewhere around 21ish. My bed has the "bed risers" on it so i have to pick her up to put her in bed and i have to CLIMB in...so i think im gonna take them off and borrow my mom's little ottoman so i wont have to lift. BUT SHES THE BABY!!!!!LOL im more concerned about lifting her lol she likes to be held. Oh , what we do for our babies
