Good to hear, I hope mine can be re-positioned. I don't want it to be removed. Thanx for giving me a little hope.

I was banded in March 2012 and I found out today my band is beginning to slip. I hadn't been feeling well since Wednesday, couldn't eat,and really bad acid reflux. I thought I was getting better but Monday morning was bad, my husband said either get a doctor's appt. or your going to the hospital, so I went to the doctor. The xray showed there's a slip, he took all the fluid out and said the stomach might drop down on it's own and if not, surgery. I'm so upset, I've lost 92lbs and I'm scared to go back! Anyone gone through this, I can use some encouragement :-(

I was banded 3/20/12, I've lost 64lbs and I'm at a stuck. I know it's because I haven't worked out like before so I started back. I noticed alot of my skin is hanging...so I started doing sit-ups and felt pulling w/ a little pain. I'm wondering if I should be doing them.Has this happened to anyone?

JohannaMae replied to TamaraKaye's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A

I Was Banded On____Since Then I Have Lost____!
JohannaMae replied to JulieC74's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was banded on March 20th and I've lost 45 lbs! -
My port is located on my wasteline next to my belly button. Does anyone have their port there? It's uncomfortable when I wear close fitting pants or a belt.

Thanks for the input everyone. I feel a little discomfort because my port is on the right side of my belly button. Is it unusual to have it on your waist line? It's uncomfortable when I wear a belt.

I'm wondering what it feels like to have a flipped port. I've lost 45 lbs since March 20th, I can feel the port more, I don't know if it's because I lost weight. Has anyone had there port flipped?

Has The Band Actually Worked For You?
JohannaMae replied to OldMomOf3's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I noticed I missed a couple of questions, on a scale of 1-10 I would score it a 9 and my goal is to loose 120lbs so I have 80lbs to go!!! -
Has The Band Actually Worked For You?
JohannaMae replied to OldMomOf3's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was banded on 3/20/12. I have lost 40lbs and I feel great. I've had 2 fills so far. I feel that the band is a wonderful tool to assist in weigh loss. I know for me I have to always be mindful of what I put in my mouth, I can't eat the same things I've eaten in the past. I make healthier choices and try to exercise 5 days a week. I'm not saying its easy, I struggle each day, mentally because I've realize the strong addiction I have to food. It's also good to have supportive people around you. Best of luck to you - God bless - -

I Wish I Had This Stuff Through My Whole Lapband Journey!!!!
JohannaMae replied to MrsShannonDennis's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Where can I buy it and how much does it cost? -
I was banded 3 weeks ago and had a fill 4 days ago.I've been feeling fine but last night while sitting I reached for something and after about 5 minutes I felt sharp pains on my belly button. I'm not sure if that has anything to do with the port. Has this happened to anyone?

Going Through Some Depression And Regret
JohannaMae replied to Boniluuu's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I think you made the right choice. I was banded 3 weeks ago and I have a small child as well. We want to be there for them and lead by example. You made a great investment, you'll realize it as the weight comes off. I've lost 25lbs so far and it's made a big difference. I think the hardest part is I haven't been able to pick up my son! Be encouraged each day will get easier. God bless - -
Stuff Coming Out Of Scar
JohannaMae replied to Karma88's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was banded on 3/20/12 and the day after my surgery I had fluid coming out of the corner of my port incision. I called my doctor and he said drainage sometimes occurs and as long as there's no swelling and it's not red it should be ok. It would stop and then build up and drain again. Last week I made an appointment because I was concerned of it getting infected. He tried draining some of the fluid with a syringe and a little came out. He said it was a hematoma -collection of blood under the skin from the bruising. As of today a little drainage is still coming out but as the swelling goes down I noticed the bruising is going away and there's less drainage. Just keep in contact with your doctor to make sure it doesn't get infected. Hope this helps. God bless - -

Drainage In The Port Site.
JohannaMae replied to JohannaMae's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thanks, I've been worried I don't want it to get infected. It's good to know someone else went through this. I'm going to see my surgeon this week. I noticed since the drainage the swelling has gone down. I still have pain in the port area but the nurse said that's normal. Thanx again hope your doing well - God Bless -
