Know everyone's pain tolerance is different but I was hoping that some people who have been sleeved already could tell me their experiences with the pain that comes with this surgery..I have never had children so I can't even base it off childbirth lol...I go in Monday

HEy guys! My husband is freaking out...he is concerned that I'm eating the wrong cream soups...does the cream soup have to be fat free? I like the cream of potato soup I strain the potatoe chuncks out, but it doesn't say fat free, so my husband won't let me eat it...I'm going to call my NUT tomorrow but to ease my belly I'd like to know...thanks

Hi everyone! I just started my 10 day full liquid diet today and I am craving something sweet and salty...and my chocolate shake isn't cutting it ;( any suggestions?

Mine is 10 days...it wasn't bad the first day I did want carbs twords the end of the day...and realized I need to chew...I'm in day 2 and I'm starving! I'm drinking enough and got my protien in but it's midnight and I'm heading to the fridge for a protien shake! I'm so hungry...please tell me it gets better!

My pre op is tomorrow...I'm a little nervous and excited at the same time...I don't know what to expect...I have a surgery date of April 2nd

I don't start liquids until Friday...I'm a little concerned that I may be waiting to long,..bit they told me 10 days

I'm bring sleeved April 2nd!

1.submit an application 2.attend a group informational meeting 3. Lose 5% of my body mass 4. Labs 5. Upper endo scope(horrible!!!!!!) 6.barium swallow test (where I learned I'm allergic to barrium) 7.attend a support group 8.attend a post op nutrition class (must attend pre op) 9.attend a post op behavioral skills class ( must also attend pre op) 10.3 day trial liquid diet 11. Fill out a meal plan and shopping list for your blended diet 12.and finally a 10 day full liquid diet to shrink your liver I think I got it all HAPPY SLEEVING!

I've told everyone and anyone that will listen to me...my reasoning behind this...I'll have tons of support systems no matter where I go...from school to the store to the gym....and if they don't like it screw em! I'm doing this for me and no one else

That's my biggest concern is the liquid diet...that and all the gas pain people say they have...but I got the gas x strips like people here recommended so I hope they let me have them in the hospital Sorry I hit send to fast...I hope your surgery goes smoothly and you have a fast recovery

I am right there with you... I'm excited but scared at the same time...I've been pretty lucky with people around me supporting me, but I'm beginning to wonder how it will be after my surgery, will they still be supportive or jealous? Cuz most of the people I hang around are heavy now and when I get healthy will they still support me?

I was told it would take 15 days...I wasn't even home yet from the doctors office when I got the approval call,...it took them 30 minutes!

Breezed through all of my clinics requirements in less than 4 months, and my insurance approved me an hour after reciving my records and request for approval, I'm afraid this may be the calm before the storm...my surgery date is April 2nd. I start my 10 day liquid diet on the 23rd of this month....I'm looking for advice of any sorts...im terrified of the pain that I've been reading on here but I also don't like the way the pain meds make me feel.,.on the plus side my husband came home with a new bathrobe and night gown yesterday for me..,and even new slipper socks so I won't have to wear the hospital stuff

Liberated...thanks so much! I'm nervous and excited at the same time...my husband has to leave the night I have surgery after I get settled and everything, we live 2 hours away from the hospital, and he has to go back to work did you find you had time to do other things like read in the hospital?

Mine is a full liquid diet...I'm allowed fat free cream soups...they have to be strained...fat free sugar free pudding made with 2% milk....and protien shakes...I have to do it for 10 days prior to surgery
