  1. 6 months out you should be able to take descent sips. I am 3 months Ana can finish a snapped in 5. My trick is to plan my begs by size. Whether you work or not, decide you will do 5 12 ounce beverages. You'll finish 1 by x time, the second by y time etc... It's an old WW trick. If you fail to plan, plan to fail. Drinking was hard for mes, but the schedule helped. If I was going to the mall, I knew that I had to drink 2 12 oz drinks and I threw them in my bag...
  2. Everyone is so beautiful and such an inspiration!
  3. 209 presurgery 202 day of surgery, week diet 173 3.5 months out Cost- priceless! Really, my out of pocket was 55 bucks plus the rxs
  4. 3 weeks at the same weight. Following the diet, with occasional cheat. A potato chip here, a cookie there....but WAY less than I ever ate pre-surgery. I am 3 months out and can tolerate anything. The dry chicken breast gets me...but that is it. Anyway, yesterday I was home cleaning all day and that is my toughest. Being home, my tendency is to eat. So I did (at my new reduced level). 1 protein bar, 2 single serving bags of veggies chips, 2 string cheeses, 6 Tyson wings, 6 Oreos, 2 pieces of Bonnie bell cheese over an 18 hour period. And today...I lost 1.5 lbs.
  5. My reward for losing 40 lbs. Any tips on traveling to Florence for sleevers....good things, places to eat. I will bring some protein with me, but want to experience italiano fare! Suggested for travel in general would be much appreciated!!!!

Has Anyone Ever Not Lost Weight?

Yes, NASH damages the livers ability to break down fat because it is engulfed in fat. I started taking milk thistle and probiotics, who knows...good news is that. NASH improves as you lose weight. It might take longer but you are healing your liver in the process. NASH is such an unrecognized side effect of obesity. When I got my diagnosis I flipped, and needed to learn a,l that I could.
  7. To build on that, today...protein bar, chicke/bean/corn salad and sashimi for dinner. So lots of protein today...was so easy to get back on track. In the Past I would've been off the rails on my crazy train.

Has Anyone Ever Not Lost Weight?

Do you have fatty liver syndrome?, metabolic syndrome or syndrome x? PCOS? There are real and true cases where weight loss will be painfully slow...like me. I am losing, but 6 pounds per month is my MAX. The one sure fire cure to not losing for me is exercise. My body can be as efficient as it wants, but there is no doubting the caloric requirements of. 60 minutes on the treadmill!!!
  9. 6 Oreos were over several hours, not all at once. But still...pretty bad.

Has Anyone Ever Not Lost Weight?

I had no appetite at all for 6 weeks. I thought the ghrelin removal worked great. Now 3 months out, I have about 50 percent of my appetite back. Some days, it seems like higher. It's so much better than the constant hunger before. But this is not head hunger, this is feel it in your belly growling hunger at times.
  11. I take 6 capsules of psyllium husk fiber every night. It helps with the regularity and is great for bringing down cholesterol. I agree, MOM is gross. I was sooooo constipated at first. I found that putting the MOM in the fridge and drinking it as cold as possible helped. Once I got passed that horrible phase, I leveled out with a comfortable daily deposit thanks to the psyllium. PS. I got the psyllium at BJs.
  12. Despite waiting 6 months, counseling and seeing a nutritionist...I cheat! I am 3 months out and I am human. None of us got here because we could effectively stick to a diet. The difference for me this time, is that I am forced to not slide too far and it is so much easier to get back on track. I have good days and bad days. My psychological make up likely won't change....but i am working on it. Please, please don't beat yourself up.
  13. I agree. Depends on the protein intake. It's not that hard to get 60-80 in if you're committed. I am a bit lazy and I use the premier protein premade from Costco....yum! As a crutch on days that I need it, sadly, it also solves my choco craving.

    Heartburn Central

I like zee rid OTC. I take 2 to get me up to the ex dose of omeprazole plus it has baking soda. So as soon as it hits the stomach it releases a strong base to neutralize the acid. Lastly, I found that fiber helped me. Maybe psychological...but there is all this acid churning down there. Psyllium taken with less than 8 oz of water absorbed the acid and pushed it through. Good luck, I was in agony until I started this regimen, but everyone is different.

    Recovery Question

I stayed home for 3 days post discharge..then traveled to my parents 2 hrs away. I felt comfortable that I was feeling good....so more secure about being away from the surgeon. Day 3 was my magic day. As an aside, if you have an issue any ER doc can get in touch with your surgeon and review the issue...it's not unheard of. As others have said, many are flying home from MEX, so what is the difference really?
  18. Costco premiere protein rocks
  19. I have an issue with fake sweet. Other foods all taste the same..and good to me now 2 months out. At first, everything was gross. Now protein bars and shakes are hard...but due to the fake sweeteners.

But I Do Wanna Be A Size 6

I want to be a size 2... But am now seeing the extra skin is GOING to be an issue,
  21. It's 12 dollars from me to anywhere in us. I will PM you.
  22. 2 months out and I have an occasional Coke Zero. It feels fine, no gas or bloating. Of course, mild burping...but it kind of feels good to be honest. I was a 2-3 can a day addict, so 1-2 over 2 months seems reasonable. Good luck
  23. 6 weeks off...all paid. But could have gone back after 1 week

    Is This Too Easy?

I really question it because there is such variability from surgeon to surgeon. I went home on puréed, so ate thin soups and meats from day 3 on...
