    Can anyone recommend a chewable men's multi-vitamin?

    Finally Post-Op!!!

Thank you all for the advice and words of encouragement. Ten hours post-op and I am ready for a good nights sleep. I feel very tired, but comfortable. No shoulder pain whatsoever. I'm gonna try drinking a Protein shake for Breakfast.
  3. Today was the big day. The entire surgery stay was about 4 hours. I woke up with a massive headache, sore throat, cotton mouth, and very bloated feeling. It has been about 6 hours since being discharged and I have been sipping cool Water and had my first dose of pain meds. I feel a little more comfortable, but still thirsty and my head still hurts a bit. Kind of a "hang over" headache. I feels a bit surreal, but I know I made the best decision and can't wait to feel ten years younger. I took a week off from work and plan to relax and let this all sink in. Good luck to all and God Bless.
  4. Started the shakes a week ago and have lost 7 lbs. Met my surgeon yesterday and all clear for surgery next Wednesday April 4th. Ready!
  5. I am 36 and gained too much weight to handle over the past ten years. Same story, tried many diets, pills, etc. with zero success at losing. I now have chronic lower back pain that has changed the quality of my life. Sometimes, life doesn't seem so great. I manage to get through the work day with prescription pain pills, but they are becoming less effective as the months go by. Thinking things couldn't get worse, I was recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. More pills and diets. My doctor says that if I don't change my diet and lose weight, I will eventually need dialysis. He recommended that lap band procedure. I have had my initial consultation, physical, and bloodwork, and was told I can have the procedure early April 2012. I am excited and wish I could have it done today. I am ready for a healthy diet, looking forward to being able to exercise and play with my kids. My initial goal is to lose 100 lbs. Let's do this!
  6. My insurance or rather my employers insurance does not cover this sort of procedure, so I will pay half out of pocket. The other half will be financed for two years. I wanted a new vehicle, but to feel healthy again is more important and worth every penny. The new truck can will have to wait, and I'll look good driving it!

    14 Days Post Op

My last attempt at dieting consisted of the nutrisystem-d program. My doctor says to continue eating the meals after the band(recovery), which are nutritionally balanced and more than enough portions to eat with the lap-band anyway. Just a suggestion. Oh and the nutrisystem meals actually taste pretty good.

    Waiting And Ready

Thanks for the kind words. And wow, 22 lbs in 14 days! Congrats on that and best of luck and good health wishes to you.

    New Here

From what I understand, the surgery is somewhat minor. Three keyhole incisions, and the amount of time you are under is about an hour. I wouldn't worry too much. I am nervous myself, but the thought of finally being healthy takes care of that.
