I'm 2 1/2 years post surgery and recently found out I was pregnant. My weight on the day of surgery was 236 I'm down to 150. I am now 10 weeks pregnant and have noticed my appetite has changed drastically I'm feel like I'm constantly hungry and can eat a lot more then usual. For the most part I still eat small portions just a lot more through the day but some days I feel like I ate a big portion size and I get nervous that when I eat like that I could damage the surgery. Has anyone else felt like this or went through this?

Hi Sabrina 140 ok I was able to drink 1/2 the premier chocolate protein shake last night and the other 1/2 this morning not what I should be doing but it's a start they are not bad a little on the thick side so I put some ice cubes in it and water it down a little. I got them at Costco!

Indymom. I'm having a hard time finding the nature made multi soft gel vitamin. Where did u get urs?

Omg!!! It's horrible and I know at this point protein is very important but they all make me so sick and I know a lot has 2 do with my taste buds and smells being all screwed up but it really sucks I'm having such a hard time even with my liquid intake . I bought the premier protein from Costco and I'm going 2 try one tonight ( fingers crossed) a lot of people on this site recommend that one and also the injury protein as this point I'll try anything because im still not really able 2 eat my doc says its because I'm still really swollen besides the sleeve I had a hernia repair and a lot of scar tissue removed But I will let u know how the protein shake taste. Good luck

I had my surgery feb 8th and im having the same problem with the protein I can not stomach any of them and I bought so many different ones they all make me sick and I actually vomitted a few times which was not pleasant so I am also searching for some type of protein I can handle because right now I'm not even getting close to my protein intake that is needed . And I'm also having a rough time getting in my 64oz of fluid I feel like it still takes me all day to drink a 20oz water bottle. I'm so nervous at this point and do not want to go back in the hospital or screw up my surgery.

Hi Leesakake. Overlook was great I've stayed there a few times and never had any complaints my best advice is to walk as much as possible post op. I'm a month out and still struggling with many things. But I'm def. feeling a lot better then I was. I think I finally feel good enough to go back to work on Monday so hopefully I'm ready. So good luck with everything hope to hear from you soon. -
Any New Jersey Gastric Sleevers?

Hi Bella143 yes I used Dr Goyal he is great a little rough with the bed side manners but an outstanding surgeon I've been a patient of his for many years. The sleeve has been rough for me the first 2 weeks was the worse it was so bad that I was really having regrets. It has got a little better since then I'm still having a rough time getting all my required fluids in so all I do is sip all day. And the protein for me is the worse I have not found a protein I can tolerate at all everyone I tried and it makes me sick 2 my stomach and occasionally made me vomit. So I just consertrate on my liquids. And now for some reason my chewable vitamins are making me sick also the chewable Pepcid it's crazy on how much your taste buds change post op. I'm down 30lbs so far buts it's hard and scary at the same time. There was days were I couldn't even get out of the bed in the beginning all I wanted to do is sleep that's how weak I felt. The pain post op wasn't bad at all I used the pain meds in the hospital and that was it. The most important thing is to walk walk walk right after surgery trust me you do not want the gas pains it's the worst feeling ever. I had an episode the next day right after I was released from the hospital I was in so much pain I wish you luck and hope everything goes well. And just remember even though you don't want to hear it things do get better it's a slow healing process. I'm a month out and still have my issues but nothing like I was feeling in the first 2 weeks. -
Any New Jersey Gastric Sleevers?

Hello everyone!!!!! I'm from Hudson County NJ my doc has an office in Hoboken and Summit. Had my sleeve done Feb 8th in Overlook Hospital Summit NJ. -
Hey Everyone and I apologize now if this question grosses anyone out. Today makes a month for me post op and it's been a long struggling battle with liquids/proteins/vitamins pretty much everything. But now I notice I have not been going to the bathroom regular if I'm lucky if it's once a week and that's probably because I get nervous and take M.Of M. To help me. Is this normal? And does anyone have any suggestions?

Thank you all for the advice
