I had a hernia repaired too! And my gallbladder removed. A threefor. When I found out about those during my pre-op stuff I knew that God was telling me this was the right thing to do. I never would have known about the hernia and gallbladder. -
Stabbing In My Chest When I Drink. Advice Needed Asap!

I just keep liquids near me and just sip all day. I'm not at the point where I distinguish a breakfast/lunch/dinner yet. I always have like, 3 cups around me. I think it annoys my family. ;P Having an alarm would drive you insane if it was going off that much. You'd be dreaming of beeping. -

I had trouble drinking too. Still do sometimes if I drink too fast or take too big of a sip. I do best with green tea it seems. Do you get a sharp uncomfortable tight feeling? That's how mine is. I also started taking gas x and that has helped a lot! I hope you feel better soon! Time flies!! -

Weight Watchers cream cheese is delicious! Could be a good substitute. I'm not sure on its calorie/fat/etc values but I remember cheeseballs from Christmas that were divine. -

I don't think the calories or protein really matter in the first few weeks. That's why they have a lot of people on a clear diet. I was allowed protein shakes as soon as I got home but I was only able to really get them down starting today (day 8). From what I hear the first 2 weeks are bad and then the clouds move aside and there is a chorus of singing angels. That might be wishful thinking... -

I had/have this problem too. I started taking gas x and it has helped tremendously. I'm 8 days postop and I was terrified when I couldn't get anything down without pain. Good luck and I hope you feel better soon!! -

Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum for posting but I've been lurking and reading for a few weeks. I had my sleeve done last Thursday, March 1, along with a hiatal hernia fixed and I had a very inflamed gallbladder removed as well. Generally I'm feeling pretty good. No pain, I've been light headed off and on, and I get some painful gas bubbles if I drink too fast or lose my mind and take too big of a sip. I'm terrified of getting a leak though. Probably because I read too many horror stories. I was pretty sick when I was in the hospital and I had dry heaves for most of a day.. My doctor told me not to worry about that but I am anyway. Hah. I am over analyzing every catch and muscle ache. I'm curious if anyone else had multiple things done during their surgery and if the healing time seemed longer. Also they told me to continue my Iron pills since I've been lightheaded and I'm curious if food in the first few weeks could cause a leak wouldn't a pill as well?? Probably I need to just chill.
