Oh... Relationships are hard. Living with someone is even harder. First I'd ask myself if I was ever in love with this person and if I ever found him attractive. I tend to feel like I went along with relationships, because I didnt know how or when to stop. When you think about your long term future lets say 5-10 years from now, is he part if it. Also I tend to be very straight up wig my husband, if he does something that pisses me off or grosses me out, or just makes me unhappy in general, I tell him very bluntly and matter of fact. Men really need bluntness, they do t get hints no matter how in your face they are. So let's say about his health, next time he complains about it, I would tell my husband hey either do something about it or shut up. I know it's mean, but hey when the **** hits the fan, he can't say I didn't tell him. So my advice is to be honest with him. I also have told my husband that he needed to step it up, because I wasn't happy. My husband does get pissed but I don't wait until we are in an argument or anything, I don't yell, I just say it. 95% of the time my husband steps it up. I hope this helps.

When I Can Eat Spicy Or Fried Food?!
chitowngirl replied to alwadi's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My dietician told me I could eat spicy foods as soon as I could tolerate it, I'm 6 weeks out and have been eating spicy for about 2 weeks now, with no problems. I have tried fried foods, but very limited, such as I had 2 chicken wings. I just make it a point not to have to much. I had that about the same time as spicy food. But I was also discharged on mushies, I did that for 2 weeks. After that I've been on soft foods. After next week I will be on no restriction diet. -
Dropping The Dairy In Desperation!
chitowngirl replied to CrazyCatLady's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
As far as getting you protein in have you tried isopure drinks, they're not milk or dairy based. I was drinking the blue one and I watered it down with a bunch of ice. Hope this helps. As far as non dairy snacks during mushie stage try beans, eggs, soups, and sf popsicles. -

It's prob just a fluctuation because of the time of the month. It happens to me all the time. Don't stress in a few days the scale will go back down. Your doing a great job don't get discouraged. -
Great job. I was also the designated driver this weekend, it was nice. I didn't need to drink, I was high on life.

Business Trips
chitowngirl replied to Gastricsleeve4me's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Well even traveling, you can make good decisions. That's not to say that you can't treat yourself to a little treat while on those trips. If traveling for your job is necessary, your just gonna have to make it work. You can pack protein bars or drinks. Take ready made or microwave food, such as oatmeal. Also remember that your sleeve is really gonna limit how much you can eat. I personally eat 3 meals a day and have 2 snacks. I need those snacks for hunger reasons and protein reasons. So just try to find what works for you. I think you will be fine. -

Vitamin Recommendations
chitowngirl replied to disneyteach's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I bought the bariatric vitamins and I cannot tolerate them. They're very chalky and makeme gag, that doesn't sound like such a big deal pre-op, but post op, I couldnt do it. I ended up going to target and getting the gummy vitamins. So for now I would highly recommending getting something over the counter at your local pharmacy.
