chitowngirl replied to adrimc26's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A

1 Year Out An Its Not Good.
chitowngirl replied to Skinnyagain's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Well all you can do is look forward now. Now you know no soda. And as much as you think you feel no restriction, not being able to eat as much is restriction. You are back on the right track, and just for the record 39 pounds is 39 pounds. Now you realize you are not done with loosing. Now you must get back into loosing mode. So stick with proteins, stay away from sliders, and try to log onto my fitness pal. Just so you can keep track and can become more conscious of what you are eatting. Best of luck. -

chitowngirl replied to KenyaAngel's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I totally understand we live in a society of instant gratification. What ever weight I loose it doesn't seem to be fast enough. But I refuse to become obsessed with my weight so I only weigh in once a week. -

My surgeon was so against that to the point if we gained weight he would cancelled the surgery. So even if I wanted to I was way to scared to.

Chew your food 30 times. I like to wait a full minute after chewing before I take another bite. -

Just Not Happy
chitowngirl replied to shellbell33081's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Has your doctor gave you any meds for nausea?? Also my surgeon told me that nausea is a symptom of dehydration. So try to sip your way through 64 ounces of fluid, that should help. Hope you feel better soon. -
Birth Control Pills
chitowngirl replied to Joyfulone1's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I also have pcos, and I was specifically instructed to continue with my birth control pills, as it is much easier to get pregnant once we start loosing weight. I also feel like the birth control also keeps my hormones in check, which I need, it also curbs all the facial hair. -
Yes I did, I also bleed a lot I'm assuming not only because of surgery, but they usually give you blood thinners. My last 2 periods were not normal flow.

Picturing Myself In A Thinner Body-Can Anyone Relate?
chitowngirl replied to BentleyJade's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
What you are feeling is totally normal. But trust me when I say seeing is believing. It will happen, the day will come when you will just be another girl, and not the fat girl. Your going be in denial for a while, because the weight can't come off fast enough. -

Anyone Else.....
chitowngirl replied to dying2Bhealthy's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hope you feel better. If it is something you ate it the symptoms should be gone soon. I know this may not seem appealing, but once you can tolerate it, you should try to eat what you would consider one of your safe foods. If you get no symptoms know that it was more than likely what ever you ate. However If the pain does not go away soon, or if you get pains after safe foods then you should contact your surgeon immediately.
