Where To Find Motivation?
chitowngirl replied to SicChl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I feel ya... The gym is kinda boring. Have you tried walking outside. I've personally started bike riding. Take advantage of the weather, also it helps if you plan it with someone. So plan a walk with a friend, spouse or sibling. This way it's not so easy to wiggle your way ou of. -
How Much Weight Before Clothes
chitowngirl replied to FattyBoombalatty's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have lost 50 pounds since my highest weight. I'm still in my 18-20's however I must admit they were tight on me, and now they are really loose on me. I do have a bunch of size 16's but they are not plus size, so I think it will take me 20 more pounds before they fit me. I'm sure I could fit into a 16 from lane Bryant, but I'm not gonna go buy anything, and I'm trying to swear off the plus size clothes. -
I actually bought mine from hsn. It's the proform proshox elite 2. I paid $1000 for it, but that was well over a year ago. Itself was my first experience with the hsn, and I love it I did 4 payments of $250 delivery was free. Anyhow I love my treadmill and when I was looking at hsn they did have very similar ones as far as the brand in your price range. I use my treadmill as well as my husband and son, it's still going strong. So on my treadmill it is just as good as the ones in the health clubs, maybe better because mine is ifit compatible, and it has speakers that you can hook your iPod/mp3 to. The incline is insane I wanna say it goes upto 12. My son runs like upto 7mph and it's sturdy as heck. Also mine has an extra long belt (I have long legs) and it was able to support 300-350 pounds.

18 Months And Counting...photo Update
chitowngirl replied to M2G's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
You look Awsome!!! Congrats and continued success. -
Are you tracking your calories? If not I would recommend doing so. Also 28 pounds is 28 pounds lost forever. So don't downplay your success. Also once tracking your calories you may notice that they may need to adjust such as adding calories, increasing protein. I actually got great success when I increased my calories.

Beef is really tough, have you tried cooking it in a crock pot, it is much more tender. That's the way I cook my pork and beef. Try it it's easy and tasty.

Wondering If You Can Do This On Your Own? I'm Convinced.....
chitowngirl replied to Queen of Crop's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Nope. If I could have done this on my own I would have. I didn't go into this journey thinking this was the "easy" way out. I knew it wouldn't be easy, no regrets. -
Since Surgery I Have Never Been In For A Post Op Visit
chitowngirl replied to blackanese25's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Call your surgeon and let them know that you no longer have insurance. Make an appointment, when your in with the doctor let him know that you haven't followed up because you lost your job and no longer have insurance. Most doctors will charge you for a level 1 office visit which is the cheapest, also ask if there is a cash discount. Try to work something out with them, you are doing great so for him to keep track of your progress is beneficial to him. -
March And April Sleevers How Are You Doing? What Are You Really Eating? (Confessions)
chitowngirl replied to Anewlifeforme23's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My presurgical weight 284 I am now 249. I am on a full diet with no restrictions. I feel great. I eat about 800 calories a day. I don't deprive myself. Yesterday I had 1/4 of a cup cake. Today I tried to eat a steak taco that I bought from a vendor and took 2 bites and couldn't continue. That taco really messed up my stomach. -
Congrats. I'm glad to see your feeling well.

Awesome, keep it the good work.

Never In My Life.....
chitowngirl replied to jailynn's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes, how great is it to only have 10 pounds to loose. Congrats. -
I'm 7 weeks out and I pretty much eat 6 times a day, they are tiny amounts. So I really wouldn't worry as it seems to be the small amount of food is going to make you hungry every few hours.
-
I wouldn't go back to liquids, but maybe soft foods, and soups. Hope u feel better.

Yes, I agree. I feel normal at the theatre. I always buy a large bottle water. I did order my son some nachos and has 2 or 3 of them and that was enough. Before I would have gotten my own.

Need Some Quick Advice About Dehydration.......and Broccoli?
chitowngirl replied to lighteningbug's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The broccoli was prob way to fiberous. I was told that fiber was not permitted the first few months as it is too rough going down. Hope you feel better soon.
