Agreed, cardio is king. There are a lot of classes That make cardio fun, think Zumba, hip hop dance, there are also boot camps that incorporate cardio and toning.

Any March 2012 sleevers out there?
chitowngirl posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
So this time last year, I was anxiously counting down the days to my surgery. Well a year has nearly come and gone, and I just wanted to see how everyone is doing. As for me my highest weight 298, surgery weight 274, current weight, 202. My goal is 150-160. I'm not hard pressed on a specific number. If my body is happy at 170, that's fine with me. My surgeon is really satisfied with my progress so far, as according to him I am at 65% weight loss from surgical weight, considering the average is 60% I felt pretty good about that. I do have spurts when all I want is carbs/sliders. I do allow myself to indulge, however I have been really limiting my carbs lately, as I feel I have slowly regressing. -
Increased water+protein= 11pound this week!

This concept is somewhat similar to miss diva's bootcamp. I was set to start the bootcamp today (mentally). I've been doing great so fat it is 1:20 in the afternoon and I'm already working on my 14th cup of Water. I have noticed that I have not had the urge to snack since I've been drinking so much water. Also when I ate my salad at lunch I did get full much faster. I'm going to continue to do this all week as I'm currently weighing in at 202 and my weight loss has been 3-4 lbs a month. I am nearly a year out so I know it does slow down, but I still want to lose -50 lbs. Nevermind, my husband's birthday is on Saturday and we are going for dinner and drinks with a bunch of friends. I would love, love, love it if I got to onderland by then. -

Would you have paid without insurance coverage?
chitowngirl replied to Houston17's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes, I got denied once. I redid my 6 month diet, and at the same time I was saving $ to go to Mexico just in case I was denied again. However, I lucked out and I was approved. But it was a route I was willing to take. -
Who wants to see my stomach?

I jut eat my protein. With the exception of the first 3 weeks I always have. I would come up a little short the first few weeks, but eventually able to consume all my protein via food. Just so you know, it can be done
-
I know what you mean, I'm not crazy about protein drinks either. As soon as I was cleared for soft foods, I made it a point of eating my protein instead of drinking it. I was low at first, but I was eventually able to meet my goals.

I always buy myself clothes, so I do not consider that an award. I've been eyeing the new Nike fuel band, I also plan to get my teeth whitened when I reach goal.

Team please help
chitowngirl replied to Losing weight's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I would try either the carb thing try adding some good carbs, ie a slice if whole wheat bread. Unfortunately the very limited carbs does not work to well for anyone. Or could you possibly be dehydrated? Try upping your fluids, maybe that will help. Good luck to you and please keep us updated. -
I've always had average boos, as I got bigger so did they and now they have shrunk, but I'm still in a c cup, which is fine to me. I pretty much ways wear a bra I'm not giving in to the whole sagging thing, not to say it won't happen, but I'm going to go down fighting.

So we are having a 75th surprise party for my grandma at a banquet hall. I really don't wanna go out and buy something that I'm not going to be able to fit in for long. So after trying on a butt load if outfits, I've narrowed it down to three. Please let me now which one you prefer. Thanks a bunch guys.
