chitowngirl replied to andi0120's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Wow you look great. Congrats on the meds. Keep up the good work. I also found my doctor pushing the bypass, he insisted it was the "gold standard". But I wouldn't give in, I'm loving my sleeve. -
Your having the jitters. It will be fine. Before you know it your surgery will be done and over with.

And My Pants Started To Fall Off...
chitowngirl replied to hadouni's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I know the feeling, I feel soo good about my weight loss. Then my cousin took a picture of me, I realized how silly I looked in by loose baggy clothes. I came home and started a huge donation pile. It's just so sloppy looking. However I am grateful to have my clothes too big as opposed to too small. -

So Can We Or Can We Not...
chitowngirl replied to Nate's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
If you are going to do one or the other I would do the occasional beer. I'm sure it would be very easy to let soda back into your life, I personally don't think it's something that is good for our bodies, even without the speed. -
Yes, I would also say try to go back to basics, track your food, stay away from calorie drinks. What does your diet look like as of right now??

Pre-Op Diet And Social Activities
chitowngirl replied to lilly11781's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
First what does you pre op diet consist of?? Second I think you can totally pull off these events. At 4 days post op I went to a wedding and played with my food, but ate none of it and just drank water, no one noticed anything. -
It sounds like plantar fasciitis, which I have. If you recently started a walking or exercise regimen that would explain it. Anyhow my doctor suggested I freeze a bottled water and once it is all frozen rotate it under my foot back and forth in a rolling motion. This really did help, and I was able to keep my sock on.

I was sleeping a lot for the first month. Which made it really hard to get in my fluids and protein. Once I came back to work things got better, but I think it was because I got myself on a food/fluid regimen that allowed me to meet my nutritional requirements.

Yes, I find if I'm craving something and I have a taste of it it doesn't take much to satisfy my craving.

Congrats and welcome to the club.... -
Wow I'm currently 2.5 months out, I've just been amazed that now I can tell my face shape. Before my face was just fat I was never able to see the structure in my cheek bones. I'm loving every second of my sleeve.

Way to go Tina. You have done great, and are very inspiring. Keep up the good work. -
I usually do 30-45 min on my treadmill or I will ride my bike for an hour or so. Start out at a comfortable pace and time and gradually increase as to challange your self.

Yippie.... Congrats. It will be here before you know it.

Congrats, I bought a maxi dress and realized my thighs were not rubbing together. What a great feeling.
