Need A Little Support Right Now

Your family is in my thoughts and prayers. I once read a blog of a mother who lost her young daughter to terminal brain cancer and she said something that was very touching. Her las wish for her dying daughter was may she live until she die. I found it to be comforting, I hope that you can too.
  2. Good luck, before you know it you will be sleeved. Congrats on the quitting smoking. I'm also a big fan of NOLA, I love that city. I just can't seem to get enough of it.
  3. When I had surgery it was rainy and cold for the first 2 weeks. So I just go up and cleaned a bit nothing drastic. And if I had a little bit more energy left I would dance. It's hard but I tried to get up every few hours to move around even if it was just in the house.

    Help Please

Yes it's normal. I stood home for 1 month and every day when my hubby came home from work 5pm I was dead asleep. I still come home and take naps as needed.

    Body Dysmorphia In Reverse

I can totally relate. I started to realize how big I really was post op and I started losing weight. I feel like I'm still big, I can't get over the fact that I was actually bigger than I am right now. I also hated being in pictures that was like reality bi/ch slapping me in the face and I just couldn't handle it.

    Blood Thinners

I had them had to self inject for 10 days 2 times a day. I didn't like it, but hey I had to do what I had to do. It was a small price to pay.
  7. Yeah....I feel your pain, I was having one of those days too. I just feel so overwhelmed and super exhausted.

    The Blahs

It's gonna be a while. I was at about 3 weeks before I got my energy back. I would get little bouts of energy here and there, however they would go as quick as they came.

    Pork Rhinds

I'll have them once in a while. They are 0 carb, but high in fat and calories.
  11. I do get overwhelmed at times, I feel really tired. I must admit that I do have a busy day I work full time, go to school and I'm a wife and a mother. I would say the fatigue will be your biggest obstical as I'm sure your 4 little ones keep you busy. I was a big emotional eater, but I was so pumped about getting surgery, that I have not been emotional or have had an ounce of regret. I'm 3.5 months out and 63 pounds lost. Good luck with your decision.

    How Is Everyone So Happy?

We eventually become happy because we find what works for us. It does take a lot of tweaking. If your vitamins make you sick change them, I was not able to take the chewable chalky stuff either, I switched to gummies, now I have no problem taking them. Immediately post op I was not able to tolerate protein shakes, so I went to gnc and bought the blue isopure drink in the clear bottle and put a bunch of ice in it. That god old fast too, so I went online (direct diet.com) and bought chicken broth protein packs, cheese cake protein pudding, and protein chili. Now 3.5 months out I can tolerate eAs ready made shake. I only drink the shake so I can have room for veggies , but if I wanted I could totally eat my 60g of protein. It's all about switching things up and finding what works for you. Hope you start feeling better soon.

Fellas... Keep It Real With Me!

I've had to admit I've gotten attention. Being a woman I get most attention from other women, not sexual, but women tend to be friendlier to people who weigh less. Today at lunch I had a female cop come up to me just to say hello, in a very matter of fact kind of way. It doesn't upset me as I also notice that post sleeve when I walk around I have a natural smile on my face. So I can honestly say that I am also more friendlier and out going.

    Hominy

I had pozole on my mushies diet. I couldn't terate the pork in it but the broth and the hominy went down so smooth. I'm not much of a menudo eater but I do love me some chicharon, it goes down so smooth, and I'm 3 months post op.

    What Cant You Eat Now?

The only I can't tolerate is hotdogs.
  22. That sounds pretty reasonable, here in Chicago I don't think you can get anything less that $18k.
