    Alone?

I didn't have my procedure in Mexico, however I did go with a friend while he had his procedure. I can tell you, my visit was mostly tending to my friend, we took little strolls to the plaza and did some light shopping, but he did get tired quickly. I did venture out on my own once or twice for a short time. But my main focus was my friends well being. So ultimately do I count that as a vacation, nope not at all. However it did put my friends family at ease knowing that I was with him and I did call/text updates.

    I Can Suddenly Eat More

I would say yes this is the healing process. I would suggest gradually increasing your food amounts. I notice with my sleeve I occasionally evaluating what I eat as well as how much and how often. Good luck. Thisay be a good time to incorporate some protein rich snacks.

Scoping Out Cute Clothes, Hairstyles, Etc.

I'm already 4 months post op, and I always do this. I email myself pictures of hairstyles. I have downloaded apps for Macy's, gap, banana republic, Nordstrom, and express. I am always browsing the. And checking out new styles. I've gone down a few sizes, and I'm no longer in plus size clothes, I'm in a tight 16, off the rack non plus size (yeah). However I still want to wait until I get closer to goal to buy some rockin clothes. I'm just now talking my self out of buying a new pricey winter and fall coat, because next winter they prob won't fit me, so I've come to terms that I should just wear my old costs, that were to tight on me prior to my sleeve. But hey now that the coats fit properly they really do look new...

I Dont Know What To Eat! 3 Months Out

I like to eat meat and protein, such as picadillo (Mexican dish with veggies, potatoes, and ground beef) I like to make a lot of stews with meat and salsa and I will throw in some veggies. I eat meatballs with spaghetti sauce, shrimp with alfredo sauce.

    Quick Hello And Update.

Wow you look great. I would have never guessed that you had wls.
  13. Your prob just fluctuating because of your TOM. I know I can easily fluctuate 5 pounds I the same day period or not. I wouldn't stress it to much at this point. If you continue to see the scale go up, then talk to your doctor or nut.

    Depressed :-(

It does get better. What I do when I go to a cookout is take some shrimps on a skewer. It's Awsome source of protein and goes down super easy. It's also something that you can play with.
  15. Next weigh in. Keep your shoes on and maybe add some ankle weights. However to my understanding if you have 2 comorbid. Conditions your bmi can be as low as 35.
  16. Well I've seen a lot of denials and hardly ever have I seen a doctor do a peer to peer. Usually if he has a PA he/she would be able to do it. Have you considered getting a new surgeon and having them resubmit the request. I also appealed my denial, and it really didn't get me anywhere. So I totally know how you feel. When it comes to insurance issues most doctors don't care to bother with it.
  17. I've never had one, but I do work in healthcAre and I am familiar with a peer to peer. I can tell you that your surgeon prob doesn't want to do it. Unless there is some medical documentation that he didn't submit with the request it is pretty pointless. Can I asked why they denied you?

    Tired?

I am also about 4 months post op. I also get really tired. I do take my vitimins, and 60g of protein. However for the last few days I have been trying to get 75g of protein, hopefully that helps. I also think a lot of it has to do with the fact that I'm consuming 800 calories a day, that's such a small number of calories for our bodies to run on. So I've been aware of that and really trying consume only the best, ie leanest meats, veggies, and fresh fruits (which we should be doing anyways).
  23. Yes, most insurance companies will cover panniculectomy. I would call and ask if you have coverage for the procedure and ask what the requirements are.. Getting approval for this procedure can be tricky. You usually have to prove that the extra skin is causing medical issues, such as rashes, ect. Good luck and let us know what they tell you.
  24. Hello there I am 4 months post op and I usually eat about 800 calories a day. I'm sure I could consume more if I made bad choices in food. The thing I would ask you is 900-1600 that is a huge range. Usually people have a range of 100-200 calories. What is it that is causing you to have such a difference in calorie intake?? You say you are not eating breads, which is good, but are you consuming high calorie proteins?? I try to focus on having lean protein which is usually lower in calories. Are you on mfp?? I would like to know what your daily consumption is. I found myself eating a lot of cheese, which can be high calorie, so Iimit my cheese intake.
