First let me say stop pressuring yourself. Imagine if you lost that same amount for the next 6 months that would be nearly 90 pounds. Trust me and your self the weight comes off pound by miserable pound. Best of luck to you. -
Yes, h&p is something standard that they request. My doctor had a list of stuff I needed to do so I can submit them to ins and that was one of them.

My surgeon gives those, I don't use it. It's not something I feel comfortable whipping out. I really don't care for the choices on the kids menu. I just order on the menu and take home the leftovers.

I felt like I did 1,000 sit ups and my abs were super soar. It was uncomfortable, but not intolerable. I hardly used any morphine in the hospital and I only used the tylenol with codine for 4days at night so I could sleep at night. -

Welcome.... I dont know your starting weight, but I am also 5'7" and my heaviest weight was 298 and I am currently 225 and I am 4 months postop. It has been great. I've had a relatively smooth recovery. The sleeve does really work, I was a little soar like I did 1,000 sit ups which wasn't too bad. Good luck. -

@ make my own luck.....is your psych eval with someone who soecializes in bariatric patients? Also usually when you you see the bariatric surgeon they have a specific psych they referee you to, as there are very specific issues that need to address before your insurance will approve the procedure, and not all psych know what to ask or how to evaluate bariatric patients. Let me know how it goes with your managed care dept. -

I frequent an Italian restaurant and I order meatballs in sauce, or I order chicken parmisagn (sp?) with broiled chicken. There is my always go to safe soup. I guess you could see if they have some type of non fried calamari, don't be afraid to ask for a special order, I always tell the waitress I just had surgery and cannot eat anything greasy. I had my sleeve done on 3-27. I eat about 800 calories a day. I can go upto 1000 if I have something such as a piece of birthday cake.
