  1. Omg... Sorry I didn't see this post sooner. I had surgery @ UofC I had such a positive experience. I had dr prashad (sp?) I got my own private room the nurses were great. Their staff is great and to my understanding the nurse practioncioner that works with them also had the sleeve. Feel free to pm me if you have additional ?'s. also we have a Chicago group feel free to join, however I do not think you can access it via mobile device.

  3. Wow.... You look great.
  4. Ok here's my scenario. On Thursday I go to school after work. I start work at 6am and leave at 12. I start class at 12:30 and it ends at 3:20 then I have another class at 3:30 and that goes until 6:30. By the time I get home it's 7pm. I ate right before I left work, however I usually eat small meals throughout the day. I need something I can during school. I only do cold Protein shakes and really don't have a way to keep the cold. I'm super pressed for time and don't really have time to stop and get something, besides if I were to find something convienant and fast I'm sure I wouldn't be healthy. I'm really not a fan of any Protein Bars. Needless to stay I was really hungry when I got home and I was not able to meet my protein requirements. So do you guys have any suggestions of Snacks or food I can bring to school??? Thanks

    Hispanic/latino Sleevers?

I can eat tortillas but they do make me feel very full. I usually stick with corn just ecause they are less filling and healthier. If I'm eating a taco I will trim the edges of the tortilla and only eat what's really needed. Honsestly though I really have no desire to eat them like I used to. When I do eat tacos I will only eat the meat and toppings. I do make myself shrimp quesodillas and that's when I tend to eat tortillas. But I no longer have the need to eat them with caldo or meat. Having the surgery has been the best ever. No regrets here. There really no limits to what you can have, the limit is how much you can have it. I love tres leches cake and I had some the other day about 1/3 of a slice, so there is not really any over indulging like before.

    Hispanic/latino Sleevers?

Yes...raising hand right here. Love me some latin food. So far I've found that carnitas are way too greasy and I cannot tolerate them. I can however eat Lechon. Guisados are a go to, meat and salsa in a crock pot can't go Aron with that. Pozole is still my fav, and I can tolerate:)

Oh yeah... I can totally see the difference. Your stomach went down, and you look much more narrow. I also have a hard time seeing the difference, so I always take pictures, when I look at the picture I notice the difference instantly. Best of luck to you.

2 Month Post Op Before And After

    Congrats you look great
  14. I am 5 months post op. I generally eat 90% non processed foods. The way out post op diet and nutritional needs are, there really shouldn't be much room for much else. I usually try not to get anything that requires being bagged or boxed with the exception of frozen veggies.
  15. Sweet....congrats. Boy o boy does time fly. You have done great and I'm sure you will continue to. Keep up the good work, can't wait too see pics.

    Lifes Gotten Boring!

Sounds to me like you need a challenge. So challange yourself. Train for a triathlon, marathon, half marathon. 10k, long distance biking. Take tennis lessons, how about kayaking, are you married??make your wife happy and take some dance lessons together. Hope this helps.

    Failure?

Hello ladies, all I can suggest is getting back to basics. First try Little miss divas boot camp, then go back to tracking calories and protein, use my fitness pal, at least make yourself accountable for your food choices and there is no better way to do it than mfp. Good luck to all.
