So I've Been Shopping For Clothes
chitowngirl posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have been buying clothes in the ladies department size large. So one day I ventured into the plus size store. Let me tell you those clothes were way over priced and ugly as all heck. Now I know why I'm hooked on buying clothes, because the clothes are actually nice. I really hated shopping before, now I'm sure it wasn't only because oft size, but also because of the selection. -
Struggling With Guilt
chitowngirl replied to Jessica9190's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You actually don't have to disclose any medical Information to your boss. I did not tell anyone at work. I dont care how obvious it is or isn't my medical information is none of anyone's concern, especially at work. I did tell my family, but just my husband and one aunt. I'm pretty open about talking about my experience with my family. However I am a private person and do not feel the need to indulge. Just know that if you do tell anyone at work chances are that word will spread one way or another. As a matter of fact for my flma papers my doctor just put abdominal surgery, and for my diagnosis I asked them to put my pcos first and they listed obesity as my secondary diagnosis. Best of luck to you, and remember you can always choose to tell people later, however you cannot untell anyone. -
Good for you. You sound like your doing great!!! Congrats.

Goal Outfit.
chitowngirl replied to SoonToBeThinKAT's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have bought shirts and thought wow I'll get into this in a few months, and I get home and wala it fits. I can't really buy pants because I'm bottom heavy and it's really tricky buying pants. I guess at this point I just really have trigger anxiety about clothes and I still have hesitation that they won't look good or fit me. It's something I have to get over. I still can't believe that I can get into a regular size large. -
You can say.... 1. Your juicing or 2. Your on a liquid cleanse Good luck to you.

Well I am married, however I did go out with my girlfriends and I practically had to fight the guys off. I did tell my hubby he was gonna have to buy me a bigger diamond ring to scare off potential suitors. The sex is a lot better. My legs can bend like I never thought, and it doesn't hurt when I we go out for dinner dates it's great, I feel so sexy and confidant, I love getting all dressed. I feel like I'm slowly but surely becoming eye candy...what maybe one day I'll be that trophy wife that I always knew I could be.

College Kids Post Sleeve. How Do You Do It?
chitowngirl replied to michblate's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Well I am in college however I am also a working adult, and I comutte to school. First the first 2-3 months are pretty rough overall. If your finding that your friends may be bailing out it could be because food was a common demonenator (sp?). I wouldn't stress it pretty soo. You will be able to eat like a naturally skinny person. I would say take this time to make new friends join some new clubs do they have fitness clubs? Maybe you will feel up to joining one soon. -
That's awesome. Congrats.

I would say buy something in late November and you may still need your mom to alter the dress. Some people lose sizes very quickly and some people don't. I'd rather be safe than sorry. Best of luck to you.

It really depends on your policy, some policies will specifically state that copay are not included in your out of pocket max. The best thing to do is call the customer service # on the back of your insurance card and ask.
