2 Days Post Op And Hating This So Far
chitowngirl replied to Jessica89's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
It gets better everyday. I was only able to take pain meds for 2 days and I only took it at night. Try to focus on getting water in, it really does help, try ice chips if you have a hard time with drinking water. -

Hmm... It could be the kind of pants that you're wearing. I'm in a tight 16 loose 18 from old navy, gap, not any plus sizes or jr's. Some people posting smaller sizes may still be buying their clothes from plus size stores, which runs bigger than lets say an express pair of pants same size. I did buy a size of work pants size 14 and they fit, but they're stretch so I really can't go around saying I'm a size 14, because I'm sure I couldn't get into a regular pair of size 14 jeans. Even some of the size 16's that I have, are way smaller than the others that I can get on. The clothing industry is so freaking corrupt with its sizing standards. I know for a fact that express and other various brands run small, so it could be that you are wearing clothes that run small. Also we're all built differently.

Depending what stage your in you can have egg drop soup. I personally don't tolerate Chinese food to well, I've had better luck with Thai food, it's less greasy and they put more veggies.

I've done Pilates before, it's great for toning. I would def recommend it.

I love whole foods. I recently discovered some little pita breads that are only 60 calories and have 4g of protein, I cut them open and stuff them. They're even better toasted. I love their blackend chicken from the deli, it's high calorie but I don't need much and in a toasted pita can't go wrong. They do have protein drinks however many of them are way too high in carbs/sugars. I love their sandwich meat, it's really fresh, I only get about 1/4 lb at a time as a lot of their foods don't hold for to long, due to the lack of preservatives. They also have an excellent selection on hummus.

Theresa's Story...scared But Desperate...

Hello, I've heard some people getting BLIS insurance quick covers any complications related to wls. I have not used it so I cannot tell you exactly what is covered and how much it cost, but it maybe worth while to check out. Second Ive heard via post that one of the dr's in Mexico includes any complications in his price, that maybe worth looking into. It sounds like you have a bit of hesitation, you can take a vacation at any time, I couldn't wait for my surgery. Trust me you'll enjoy your vacation much more post op -50 pounds. But that's just my opinion. I feel like wls is like having a baby there really isn't a good time to have it. In the summer there are all sorts of bbq's, after the new year you have Easter. Ultimately there is some sacrafices for your recovery, but trust me the sooner the better, I say get it over with so you can enjoy your life to the fullest. Best o luck to you!!! -
