Wow you look great!!! Keep up the good work.

@ queen of the crop. Yes you can post pictures on a post and on your profile page also. I get on via my cellphone app, which for me personally makes it easier to post pictures in a post. From my mobile device I do not have access to view pictures in a profile. I think it makes a big difference when we can see pics either way is just fine for me

Fluffier Egg Whites? "real Cooks Please Help"
chitowngirl replied to moregoodtimes's topic in Soft (stage 3)
I also prefer egg whites, but I have a problem with the carton. So I just buy a boiled egg and only eat the white part. I'd live to see the responses. -

5.5 Months Out, 61 Pounds Down, Sz 26- 14 And Feel Fatter Than Ever
chitowngirl replied to slimshadee's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Let me tell you....you're not alone. I am also bottoms heavy and have always been. I also have trouble seeing my weight loss at times. My solution is I snap a full body picture of myself, this allows me to see myself as everyone else does, then when I compare it to a before picture it amazes me. I also have a blazer that was from my preop days, I usually try it on just for the heck of it. I'm sure I look like Alice from Alice in wonderland when she shrinks in her dress. -
Funny... Thanks that was a nice post.

You are doing great!! Keep up the good work and please post pics soon... Even if you black out your face. -
Congrats Donny. You are doing great. I also focused on one thing at a time, first water which took me a week or two, then I focused on meds and vitamins, then I worked on meeting my protein goals. Best of luck to you!!

I really don't have any advice, but I do wish you well and hope you have a speedy recovery..

Wow... I'm sorry that you feel the need to delete your account. I totally understand. All I can say is as far as why people may not response to post. If its an update on weight loss, unless it has pictures it really doesn't appeal to me, I am a visual person. So I can understand that some people have anxiety about posting pictures, but when it comes down to it the proof is in the pudding, and I like to see pictures. Good luck to you on your journey.

How Did You Tell Your Gamily And Friends?
chitowngirl replied to Jimbo_D's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I really didn't tell any friends. As far as family I do have a lot of over weight people so I felt the need to share, but really didn't want tell every single person and go thru a whole speech a bunch of times. So I utilized our family gossiper. I told my cousin and I was sure she would spread the word, and sure enough she did. So the only people that talk to me about it are those that talk. To me about it are those that are genuinely interested or concerned, s -
Call... Ask they will tell you exactly Shari's required. When I was going thru the process it was 6 months, but I think it changed.

Sick Of Protein Shakes.....
chitowngirl replied to PostalMora's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I really did feel the same way about Protein shakes, and kind of still do, and im 7 months post op. I ordered protein chicken broth, it did the trick for me. I hear from this forum that unjury as a pretty good one. As far as following your diet, I would really try to stick to your surgeons diet. I know it's rough and not pleasant, but it shouldn't be for very much longer. I personally only got protein from the protein chicken broth. I did have a hard time meeting my protein requirements in the early stages. I had to focus on my fluids aka Water so I didn't start meeting my protein until about a month out. Hope this helps -

Lovenox Injections
chitowngirl replied to MsShaunaMarie's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes, I did them for 2 weeks after. It was a pain in the butt, however it was a necessary evil. -
This is fairly common. While in the hospital they usually administer blood thinners, I also had to inject myself for 10 days with a blood thinner, this is to prevent blood clots and usually causes bleeding. It took about 2-3 months before my period became regular.

chitowngirl replied to steelergirl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Stay at the hospital.... I would really take as much as time as you can. I took off 1 month and I have an office job. I wasn't really in pain, but more tired and had a hard time adjusting to not taking naps. -

So - For The Guy Who Works Too Much.. Recipies?
chitowngirl replied to Inline6E46's topic in Regular foods (stage 4)
I second the eggs. When I'm in a pinch ill have a quesadilla (cheese taco) and for extra protein I throw some shrimp in there. If you have a whole foods near by their deli has an awesome selection of ready made dishes, the blackened chicken is my fav. -
Fingers cross that you get the best news possible.
