I totally can't commit to waxing for financial reasons and just a pain having to go every few weeks to get waxed again. I use the shick quarto that has a razor along with mini shaving clippers perfect for the bikini area. I recently bought that and now it's the only thing I use. I also can shave nicely on the upper legs/thighs with no problems. Hope this helps.

NEW YEAR's Resolutions!
chitowngirl replied to doxieville's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I would like to commit to making exercise a bigger part of my life. -
I think the pozole would be fine. I ate pozole really early out. If your on a full diet try a tamale. It's really hard to say what can be tolerated as everyone is different.

Those are not really good. If your going to look at Walmart look in the dietary supplements section. That is where you would find more appropriate protein.

You could possibly be dehydrated. Try drinking some more fluids.

My doctor did require a support person to go with me to the preop meeting. I would just take a support person and call it a day. I'm sure a person here locally that is not family can do more for you than family that is not easily accessible because they live far. If they keep pushing I would say ok this is my cousin, it shouldn't matter that they're related what matters is that you have a support system. Best of luck to you...

Will you cheat for Christmas?
chitowngirl replied to Egan317's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I am in no way promoting anything, now that I got my little disclaimer out of the way. I advanced stages a few days early at all my stages, and I was fine. Listen to your body an use common sense. Good luck & Merry Christmas!!! -
Revising your pouch is not at all life threatening. I would go seek a second opinion and go get legal help, never have I heard of a doctor making such a drastic decision without a patients consent.

Looks great!!! Definitely noticeable, keep up the good work. -
Sorry you guys didn't get a response sooner. I tend not to log on as much as I am nearly 9 months out. Back to the question at had. I was also a beast the first few months. I'm sure a lot of it is hormones, maybe you should have your birth control re-examined you may need a lighter or just plain different dosage. How to curb your inner beast?? I know this is silly but I would dance to music like a wild women when I was at home alone, that just generally helped me feel better about everything. Also I shopped, I tried to find bargains in my next size down, unfortunately my budget really constricts how much I can do that. So to feel better i would reshop my closet. Try on things that didn't fit and fit now. I would always feel better when i realized how much of a difference there is. I also took a lot of pictures, so to compare. I know this is not a physical release of anger that you were prob hopin for, but for me I needed a happy reminder of my progress and why I did this. Know that what your feeling is normal, and while exercise is great you may need to find something that makes happy!!

Approval/denial DELAYS due to holiday?
chitowngirl replied to hurley911's topic in Insurance & Financing
It doesn't surprise me. A lot of people are rushing to get their medical stuff done before the end of the year and so they don't have to pay their deductibles again. So this tends to be the busy season for insurance companies. It doesn't get any easier after the new year it is also busy at that time. These request do take time. Just keep calling, try every other day. Be nice and just explain as nicely about how anxious you are and sometimes you may get a rep on the phone who will try to push thing through a little bit faster. -

I've seen infected wounds before, and yours does not seem alarming. It looks like its slowly healing. If you feel it gets worse go in and they'll prob put you on an antibiotic. Best of luck to you. -

I love to shop... I don't worry about not being able to keep up... I'm super vain, I love taking pictures now. I'm no longer ashamed to go places, and have people snicker about how much weight I gained. I love being able to order a Soup and get full off it. -
Big difference! You look great! Keep up the good work.
