Here are things I don't miss... Barely fitting into seats at concerts. Not having a style, I can now buy things that I like, as opposed to buying because they fit. Being the biggest person in the group Chub rub on my pants Shopping at plus size stores -

Cowgirl Jane... Very well said. I agree there are certain questions that I really don't care to respond to, so the easiest thing for me is to not respond. Unfortunately some people get a kick out I bashing people and trying to people feel inferior, I also take the same approach to those people, I don't respond. I wish you the best of luck.

A Family Drama - Help!
chitowngirl replied to AussieLady's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Aussie, my heart goes out to you. Drugs devastate families. I am a child of a drug addict. I really wish there was an easier solution, but there isn't. Al I can say is that my family was my savior especially my grandparents. Just keep on calling the kids let them know how much you love them. Take them places that you know they would not otherwise get the opportunity to go to. By the time I got to Hugh school I had enough of the bull so I went to go live with my grandmother. I never looked back after that. But since in your situation your grandbabies have siblings it may be harder for them to actually leave each other. Just continue to be loving caring grandparent. -
It is my understanding that they use your starting weight. But it doesn't hurt to guzzle some water and keep your shoes on before you weigh in.

Surgery Complication..Rectus Muscle Hematoma? Need help..
chitowngirl replied to mysunflower621's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I would keep trying to get a second opinion. There are some doctors that will look at your case. Try contacting different bariatric programs, look for a program that is long established as those are the doctors who usually take care if things like this. -

I think what your going through is normal. You are discovering your self, which is great. As individuals most of constantly evolve and change this is a normal process. Give yourself time to figure out who you are and what you want at this point of your life. Best of luck to you. -

Hating Myself & Afraid Less than 6 Weeks Out...Long Post...Needing Support
chitowngirl replied to deedeemuffin's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Deedee, sorry that your are struggling. I personally don't care for Protein drinks and never really relied on them for my source of protein. I would agree with most other posters here that your surgeons diet is very unrealistic. The goal of the sleeve is to help incorporate healthy long term eating habits. I don't feel drinking meal substitution twice a day is in any way healthy. Ultimately it is your body and you know what is best for you. There are ways to get high protein and low carbs for Breakfast with out drinking Protein Drinks. For example I eat 2 boiled egg whites and a turkey sausage for breakfast. It fills me up and I get over 20g of protein. There are so many doctors who are relatively new to the bariatric surgery field and I have found that their policies evolve over time, as they see trends in what works and what doesn't. I say this out of experience as I was previously a bariatric coordinator. I would make better decisions in your food choices and document your food and when you go see your nut/surgeon show them that you are capable of making good food choices. They may actually be giving patients such a restricted diet because they feel patients are not capable of making smart decisions. Best of luck, and trust your gut, if you feel their diet is not working for you don hesitate to modify it to your needs. Please keep updated. -
Wow, that is horrible. Lucky you are safe and you were not home at the time it started. Hope all is well with you, keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.
