For the past few weeks I have been noticing a lot of unexplainable bruises. Has anyone else had this issue? They are not your normal small bruises, the ones I'm getting are huge and change colors drastically. Out of my entire recovery process this has been my only issue. Guess its time to head back to the doctors!

Working out after surgery has been quite a struggle. For the first few weeks I started out with the bike, then added the treadmill. Slowly I added in my arm band and small weights. As of tonight I added in crunches! It was an amazing feeling to be able to do 50 crunches and not struggle! 4 months ago my stomach would have been in the way and prevented me from accomplishing this. I am soo happy I decided to have my sleeve surgery. It's an amazing feeling being able to see my life change for the better day by day!

it all really depends on what your doctors diet guide lines are and when you can have those types of food. you should probably call and ask him

I found that about two months out water got annoying. So I switched it up with crystal light flavor packets and lemons. Also I drink power aid zero's to switch it up. But there are still times I crave ice cold water.

As time goes on you can start consuming more. You just have to make good choices. For me being 4 months out I can comsume more but no where close to what I was able to before surgery. It's all normal. You may think what your eating now is a lot, but its really nothing!

Thanks! I'm going to attempt it this weekend. Hopefully it goes well! Since surgery I've only gotten sick twice because of food choices, and I don't want to get sick over this! But il never know until I try!

Hard Time In The Pre-Op Diet
bethiefish replied to New1's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was on a "lean and green" diet for two weeks prior to my surgery. I had to drink five shakes a day And at dinner time I could have half a cup of salad and a small piece of meat. That itself wa very hard to go from eating whenever I wanted to not eating really anything. But the one thing I noticed was that the first few days were horrible, but once you get past a few days it gets a lot easier! You won't even think about eating or being hungry. If you having issues with hunger you could switch up shakes if the dr says its ok. Sometimes switching things up helps! -

I remember four months ago when my date finally arrived. It's quite a roller coaster of emotions. Try not to think about the unknown, yer focus on the future! Keep your head up. Once you wake up all your fears will be gone and you will just focus on recovery and finding out what your better, healthier life has in store for you!

I will admit, it is quite a scary experience. There is not much anyone can say or do to ease the nerves. But what I can say is that you are making a great life changing decision that takes a lot of courage! The anesthesia isn't all that bad, you really don't even remember being put to sleep. And have no fear about your kids, because they will be right beside you when you wake up! I wish you the best of luck with your experience! Everything will go just fine!

Almost four months out and working out is still a struggle! It's really upsetting not having a lot of energy. But I try to tell myself everything gets better with time. I just hope my energy comes back sooner than later!
