The top hat part is still your stomach and yes it does bend. The top part is esophagus and the lower portion is small intestine..the liver is not visualized because it does not take up barium..I'm an X-ray tech..very cool picture thanks!!

Finally after a 2 week stall I'm down! Weighed in at 215.4

Sorry to say but the only regret I have is not doing it sooner. If you thought this journey was gonna be easy you were wrong. I think we all have that moment that we say "What the hell did I do to myself?!?!" but you have to understand that your body is still healing and it takes time...sometimes lots of time. I will be 6 months tomorrow and I can finally eat salad (oh how I missed you!) everyone is different as far as what they can eat and when. You will see give it time...I promise! And when I feel like I'm not getting anywhere I pull out old pictures and think to myself who is that person? And I know I did the right thing!!

For some odd reason I do not have a problem with this, like *susan* if I drink when I eat it is very uncomfortable! Pre op I tried to eat without drinking and was never successful. But if you have to teeny tiny sips

I too preferred cold liquids but my sleeve did not!!! I found herbal tea was a lifesaver...and it does get better...now I am almost 4 months out and have had no problem with cold beverages!!! It will come I promise

Had mine in March w/ Dr. Atkinson in Las Vegas and I was very happy to stay the night in the hospital. I don't think I would have done so well at home with kids being there. It was nice to have at least 24 hours to recuperate in peace!!

I am 3 1/2 months out and yes it does happen. This whole week I have been super emotional. I had a 3 week stall and then dropped 10 pds in 2weeks so I think that has a lot to do with it. It will pass I promise...and even with the emotional rollercoasters I am soooooo happy with my decision!!
