Going Back To Work
Liberated Sleeve replied to mrsflyboybs's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I took 6 weeks off. I have short term disability benefits at work and used them. Desk job no lifting or twisting. Alot of people with desk jobs go back after 1 or 2 weeks. I was very glad to have the time to heal, get a eating/drinking system going and experience the emotional roller coaster without the stress of work added to it. Doctor told me no lifting more than 10lbs for 6 weeks. You could always go back half days at week 5 and test it out? Good luck! -
Congrats!! Cute ticker!

How Do You Priorities?
Liberated Sleeve replied to AshleyIrene's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Atkins Advantage meal replacement bars plus your protein shake spaced out are good energy providers. Hard boiled eggs, cheese sticks, almonds, cashews, walnuts, etc. Also you can still stop and grab fast food, just grab a grilled chicken sandwich dry and eat only the chicken from it. Just a couple of suggestions. -
I have read on here that sometimes upping your carbs extremely in one day has broken stalls.

Scared And Excited
Liberated Sleeve replied to medictazman's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I too was scared that I would be the one to have the leaks or abscess or whatever complication was available. However, I knew I had to do this for my health and to take back control of my life. I had yo-yo'd for years. I researched my surgeons and was confident I had chose one that would do his best to make sure I was a success under his care. He answered every question I had no matter how stupid it may have sounded to him. My surgery was a success, no complications, dropped 5 medications, 32lbs since surgery date, 8 weeks out and happy as a lark! liquid diet is doable and if you approach as the first step to taking back control of you then you can't fail!! God bless you! -

Liberated Sleeve replied to ssansoucie's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Your body is adjusting to the weight loss surgery for sure. I was cold the first few weeks! I am back to more of a normal, but not hot all the time like I used to be. -
Stocking My House And The Perfect Diet
Liberated Sleeve replied to disneyteach's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had two protein shakes a day and a small meal (3-4 oz of lean protein and lots of vegs) for dinner. I used Designer whey chocolate protein powder with Silk Unsweetened Almond Milk for my shakes. Added banana or frozen strawberries for different flavors. For dinner (or sometimes I switched it up and ate my meal for lunch instead) I had fish or lean hamburger patty or chicken breast with steamed vegetables. I also had a huge salad with 3 oz of canadian bacon cut up in it several nights instead of making a dinner. (3 oz of canadian bacon goes further then it sounds.) -
