Right, even though it is minimally invasive it is still invasive. Still go through muscles to get inside you!

I do know that you do have the option to have Bypass after you have had the Sleeve if you are not satisfied. You haven't shut the door on that option for good.

Clean the cat box and put fresh litter in before you go. Also, if you can have one of your friends change it out for you on the next go around so you don't have to lift anything heavy. Make sure you have a clear path to the restroom, move your area rugs and make sure all your electrical cords are along the walls and out of the way. (tripping hazards) Buy lots of different Clear liquids, like FUZE Slenderize, Diet Green Tea, Crystal Light mixes, Diet V-8 Splash, sugar free Popsicles, etc. A variety is nice when all you can have is clear liquids. Soups are good along with just plain chicken/beef bullion cubes. (low sodium if you can find them) Just a few things that helped me out. I had someone there, but really I took care of myself.

If you aren't taking any nausea meds you might call your doctor's office for a prescription.

I like the Watermelon ones the best. Just tried the Blue Raspberry and they are pretty good too!

Are you still using your spirometer? Running a fever? Are you sure it isn't pneumonia?? I would call my surgeon's office for instructions.

I had the same teeth chattering and cold shivers for about a week after surgery. I have always been extremely hot (probably partly due to my weight) but the last few days I have had to turn the air conditioner up to 79 degrees and today in Walmart I was freezing. :ph34r:

I was not told no gum and I do chew it on occasion because it's the only thing besides jello and popsicles I can chew until Monday!

Depends on your surgeon. I too am on liquid diet until day 21. Start soft foods on Monday.

Drink some hot bullion that will help with those grumpy hunger pains and attitude! Well it did for me anyway!

Only 3 weeks out so far and today I decided to pull some clothes out of the closet I couldn't wear for the last 4 years and yep they fit and even better yet, I better hurry up and wear them because they aren't going to fit for long. One of my great friends is quite pleased with this because she has already started shopping in my closet!

Some of us just have back cramps instead of stomach ones. I always have and then when I had my children, yep I had back labor instead of stomach labor. With my first one, my stomach got really hard, but it was my back that hurt, not my stomach! I had to call a friend to make sure I was really in labor.....so with number 2 I knew the drill. :wub:

LOL - or even grabbing that blanket and pillow and sleeping right next to that throne!!

Mostly because that is exactly what my thoughts were before I had the surgery. I compared it to when I quit smoking 10 years ago. Smoking was like a chain on me and when I finally decided to release that chain I made sure that I was done and never looked back. food had become the same way for me, another chain, but I knew that I couldn't just break this chain and never look back because I have to eat, everyone has to eat. So in order to be able to face food each day I had to look at it differently and use the tools given to me along with my surgeons instructions. Do I like drinking liquids for 3 weeks? No, not really, but do I believe that my surgeon knows what he is talking about and all he wants is to ensure my sleeve heals properly before I introduce foods, yes I do believe that. Have I learned that I can live without food and it doesn't have to rule my day, yes I have. I know this is a journey in process and look forward to my adventure and success. So, yep your words deserved an AMEN from me!! LOL -

I just hope you aren't a size 10 by then! LOL - j/k - I do hope you are, but that might present a problem!! Hopefully you will have another sizing by then?? Congrats!!
