Hi Didixo Finally someone with my date...march 30th.....wish it was here already???°it started being really nice here in Toronto and I don't have anything that fits me from last summer...I was hoping to have some more "time" to lose some weight pre summer I've been reading the most amazing, inspiring and lovey blog on line: Chronicles from band land, one girls story It's by Catherine who was banded in 2008....she hit goal a long time ago, but I've been reading all the entries since the day before surgery....Absolutley awesome reading Just thought I'd share with all

Don't know why...but since I decided to get banded (mar 30)...I can't stop eating and gained like 8 pounds already....it's almost like self punishment....I don't have any pre diet to do....but I don't think my doctor expects me to come in so much heavier than the last time he saw me....this is crazy... Anyone else like me? That day can't come soon enough....I'm so out of control....

Same here.....I just eat now because it got to the point that no matter what I did, I was just gaining....I think tha band Had to work and we will all have fabulous after pictures!!!! I'm going in March 30th....wish it was here already....I think I'm ready...mainly because of this great site and everyone sharing their stories and being so supportive....people who never struggled with weight have no idea what we all go through!!! Hello I'm also 5'3 (sometimes 5'4 ....I also hope to get to that 140-125 range scared to death of going under....thanks for starting this thread... I'm getting it done march 30th.....it's so far and yet so close Good luck to all of us....it's not easy living on a society that values skinny----but has friggin fattening food at every corner....we are attacked with food non stop...so unless you're one of Those that can eat whatever they want and not gain weight....I guess you need the help of the Band! I'm scared....but excited!!!! Will be telling everyone how focused I am and that when I put my mind to something....I can get it done!!! Hehehehe

Hi JennyBee I would give anything to be down 11 pounds right now.... that's great!!!! I am sure you'll see the rest coming off soon-it has to!!! Truth is though....I am going to be the most impatient of all.....I want those forty pounds off next day Aren't you so happy you're post op...I still have a few weeks...it's nerve wreaking....

Hi xoxoxo I hope you feel better soon...it sounds like the first few days can be hard...but when the pounds start coming off...I guess we will all forget about it My plan is to spend the first two days watching a whole series in a row....like all of Desperate Housewives season one or something...just to keep my mind off eating, pain etc.... Congratulations to all the new banders I'm scheduled for March 30...so so so so nervous. Know I want to be skinny....didn't succeed on my own....every few months I'm just going up and up a few pounds (now up forty five pounds since I quit smoking in 2008).....and I have a feeling it will just continue as food has become my new addiction....the band should take care of that...right?

Nice to hear from another low bmi bander...sometimes I wonder if it makes sense to do it at my weight....and than I remember how in the last four years I've gained forty pounds, while having a trainer, going to the gym, and eating well....this is the time to stop it, before it gets worse....it's all that impulse eating and snacking and as Elcee said, the band will help with that. Hi Elcee You sound just like me pre band...,I do generally eat really well....it's all the in between snacking, and tasting and craving.....I so hope to be free of that post band (and lose 22kg like you)! Don't be hard on yourself for 1-2 kg....think of where you've come to! Is this the point you would go get a fill to help lose those 2kg??? Just curious....are you in Europe?
