I started my weight loss journey 2-29-12. I had lapband with Dr. Luttrell in Arkansas. The band worked well for about 8 months...then came the miserable complications. Throwing up all the time..pain in my shoulder..never knowing day to day what I could eat or if I could eat..choosing less healthy foods just so they would go down..constant fills and un-fills. Needless to say my quality of life was not great with the band. I did have all my fluid removed in Feb 2014. What a relief!! I am a little bitter about spending all that money (15k) on something that did not work for me. I try to look at the best in every situation.. I am at least 25 lbs smaller than I was when I started. I'm super excited to get my revision to VSG surgery in May with Dr Alvarez.
