    Labor Day Challenge 2012

No change for me this week. Still in my stall, but rather be in a stall the beginning of this challenge rather than the end. Congrats to all the losers this week!
  2. I know you didn't ask me, but I have been through IVF's, countless inseminations, etc. So I know this answer so you don't have to wait. A beta test is a blood test you take to see what your HCG numbers look like and then they are checked to see if they double every 24 hours (I believe it's 24, it may be 48-it's been a while). If they do, then you have a healthy pregnancy. Congrats by the way!

    Labor Day Challenge 2012

Also, it's not mandatory for this challenge to weigh in weekly so if you prefer every other week, every third week, or once a month it's up to you. This is a short first week so I'm sure some people may want to wait until the following week. Anything works as long as we encourage each other.
  7. I'm not sure who normally starts these challenges so if I am stepping on toes, sorry! I was just anxious to get it started. Now that the Memorial Day Challenge is officially over, who wants to join me in the July 4th Challenge? We have a little over 5 weeks in this challenge so I will make two goals: 1. Get to Onederland 2. Lose 11 lbs My starting weight for this challenge is 201 lbs. Good Luck to everyone!

  12. I am 4 months post op and can tell you that I regretted the surgery until I got off the mushy food stage. I remember trying to blend chili and was so repulsed by liquified meat. I remember secretly crying because I just wanted to chew something and eat normal again. I was light headed and dizzy all the time because I didn't get enough water in. However, ever since I got off the mushy stage I have loved my sleeve. The joy of discovering food again with a small stomach has actually been fun. I still can't eat much (4 oz), but I can eat ANYTHING. I have not found anything that doesn't sit well with my new sleeve. I've lost 54 lbs and have about 36 to go. The way you are feeling is completely normal and I think most people go through some type of regret at some point in this journey. Just hang in there. You'll see in another 4-6 weeks you will be so happy you made this decision.

    Labor Day Challenge 2012

Yes. I usually have to go back and either quote myself or recap my goals when I post my results so others can see my progress.

    Labor Day Challenge 2012

We've got a lot of newbies, people close to their goal and those about to cross into Onederland. Let's all be sure to cheer each other on during this challenge and not just on weigh in days. Speaking of weigh in days, how about each Monday since Labor Day is on a Monday? Good luck to all, I cannot wait to Celebrate your success!

    Labor Day Challenge 2012

I would get to 202, then back up to 204, then down to 201, back up to 203, then down and up. It's the only time my weight has done this so far was the 200 mark. My body was just fighting to stay around there. I guess it was used to being over 200 for so long that it didn't want to let go, but eventually it did. Thank goodness!
