    Thank You

I am so thankful that I found this site. I have learned so much from reading the posts that I hadn't heard from anyone before. I hate going to support groups in person, so this is going to be my support. Thank you all so much!!!
  2. I have started on the pureed stage (2 1/2 weeks post op) and have only been able to eat no more than 1 1/2 teaspoons of food. I have had a sweet potatoe, cottage cheese and soup. When I tried the sweet potatoe and ate a little too much I immediately threw up. Is that a normal amount to start with and how long does it take to be able to eat more than that? I mean, at some point, will I be able to eat more- I realize that my meals will be small, but just how much?

    February 23Rd Surgery Date

I had the same type of meltdown on Day 4- started crying about what I had done. You will get over that as you start to feel better. These 6 weeks on liquids/pureed and soft foods seem to last forever, but when I look at the numbers on the scale or in the mirror and can see a difference, it makes it worth it! Hang in there!
  4. I am 2 weeks 2days post op and today I feel really crummy- not hungry, not thirsty, bloated, tired. Have not lost any weight for a couple of days. Am I too far out from surgery for my incision to be leaking (that was a big worry for me)? Am forcing myself to drink fluids, even tho I could be eating pureed foods. Nothing seems appealing. Is this normal?
