With the plication do they just leave the extra stomach part there without cutting it out? Why would that not work compared to the sleeve?

All of these posts are making me feel positive about my future. At this point in my life I dread sex. I hate it because of how I look and feel. My boyfriend has a rockin' buff bod and loves my body the way it is but I just feel awful when he sees me naked. I can't wait to be where you are at and feel sexy again.

I have an Atkins like pre-op diet for one week prior to surgery. Then I have clear liquids for 7 days and then pureed liquids for the next 7 and then mushies for the following seven. I am glad you aske this question because I have been wondering the same thing about all of the variations.

I am on day three of the stomach flu. I have been on only liquids for three days and have lost four lbs. I was thinking today that this is exactly what I am going to be doing (by choice) come May 11. It is crazy how the flu can wipe out our hunger signals. I hate being sick but I thought this was a nice little pre-cursor of what is to come.

Thank you to everyone for answering my question. My capsule that I take is pretty large so I was worried about it. I will go over it with the doc beforehand but am just trying to get all of the my ducks in a row.

I am having surgery May 11th. I have taken off Thursay for travel and Friday for the surgery. I haven't requested Monday or any other days off for recovery because I want to try and not use vacation days. I have a very sedentary desk job but at the same time there are many times throughout the day where I will have clients in front of me at my desk. How many days did you take off? Do you think I will be able to return to work within a few days after surgery? I am worried I will have someone at my desk and have to run to the bathroom and puke or something. Any advice will be appreciated. Thank you.

This is what Dr. Aceves is having me do for my pre- op diet. I am doing Atkins phase 1.

What do you mean cant see the weight loss? Do you still see yourself as 315?

Omf I am so sorry this happened to you. I'm even happier to here that you are getting healthier. May I ask where you had your surgery performed? Did they perform leak tests before discharging you?
