My Very Personal Reasons For Having The Sleeve
DanityChai replied to AmberDawn's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
That is a fantastic list. I can pretty much agree with about 95% of them. It sucks getting stuck in a damn chair. Then you have to play it off somehow like you accidentally tripped over yourself or something to get out of it. I am getting ready to go to NYC in three days and instead of being extremely excited I am terrified that I am going to have to ask for a seat belt extender. I flew last November and was almost to that limit but I think I have gained a few lbs since then. That is all I can think about right now. Also, I tried getting on a roller coaster at Knotts Berry Farm last November and it was so hard for them to buckle me in. I told them it was ok and that I woul get off because I felt like I was causing a scene but they somehow managed to squeeze my fat ass in there. I can't wait for all of those things too. Thank you so much for sharing. -
That is wonderful! What a great feeling of accomplishment.

I had an appointment to get an unfill this coming Saturday. I got a message from his scheduler that he isn't coming up now this weekend. He's a doc who visits every few months in Truckee, CA who sees Mexico lap-banders (me). I'm having my revision on May 11 and need to get an unfill ASAP. So now I have no idea where to go or who to see to get the unfill. Fill Centers USA has closed so now I'm screwed.

Surgery Vs Jenny Craig
DanityChai replied to arj1016's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm glad you stuck with your decision. I've tried every diet Program known to man over the past 12 years. I've spent well over what my surgery is going to cost. I'm so glad I'm going to be done with the diet roller coaster. I think you made the right choice. Good luck To you. -

Any May Sleevers Yet?
DanityChai replied to Iwant2Bthatgirl's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Thanks for sharing that information. I have been reading so much about Dr. Kelly. I am sure he is great but it all comes down to what you are comfortable with. I chose Dr. Aceves because I keep hearing that when it comes to revisions, he is the man. Can't believe we are already in April. When I first started thinking about revision to sleeve it was February and May seemed so far away. I am so glad it is almost here. Can't wait for the life changing event. -

Relationship With Hubby..better Or Worse After Sleeve Results?
DanityChai replied to betterthanbefore's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
What a great topic. When I had my crap-band put in in 2009 it didn't change our relationship much. We did end up divorcing but it had nothing to do with the band. I didn't lose much weight though so that could be why too. I am interested to see what people have to say about this. -
What Would You Consider Being The Worst Thing About This Surgery?
DanityChai replied to betterthanbefore's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
These are some great things to think about. I am about 5 weeks out from surgery but I really appreciate reading things like this to prepare myself for what lies ahead. -
Is There A "general Discussion" Board Here?
DanityChai posted a topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Is there a board where we can go talk about anything? I wanted to ask the other day if anyone was going to watch the new show with Wilson Phillips lol and I didn't know where to post it or if I even could. I see there is a talk lounge but even in there it seems to be primarily VGS talk. Hmmmm. I want to talk about being mad at my boyfriend or the ridiculous outfit so and so wore at the Oscars of just plain old talk. Anyone else? -
Unjury Unflavorerd Protein... Any Good?
DanityChai replied to NJsharon's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
I spent about $12 and ordered a few samples from UNJURY. Haven't tried the unflavore yet but I want to make sure I like something before I buy a big cannister of it. You should do that if you can. -
Weaning Off Anti-Depressants?
DanityChai replied to DanityChai's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
When I am on my meds I feel like they aren't helping me. It is when I stop taking them that I really notice a difference in my attitude. I turn into a really moody ass. lol -
7 Months Post-Op With Pics! :

Oh my gosh you look so great! Great job. Thank you for posting. -
This is one of the companies that Dr. Aceves office recommends. I applied online with them. Gave them ALL of my financial and private information. This was over three weeks ago. They have not responded to my emails or answered their phones. I am pissed off to say the least. DO NOT apply with them and expect anything except for frustration. I am so mad that they have all of this information on me. I told Nina at Dr. Aceves office and they kind of blew it off. Don't get me wrong, I do love their CS thus far at Dr. Aceves office but I do think they need to be mroe aware of the crappy company that they are recommending to their patients.

Weaning Off Anti-Depressants?
DanityChai replied to DanityChai's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Thank you to both of you. I will definitely use the advice of my doctor. For some reason, I assumed I could do it on my own. Wow. I didn't realize it would be that difficult. Also, I will be mourning my 1-2 glasses of wine most nights of the week as I am going to be giving that up as well. I didn't realize that you could use other meds to help wean off anti-depressants?
