I was banded in Portland. I was told the Salem Hospital does not allow anyone that was not banded there to be apart of their group, so I didn't even try to attend. Do you know if this is true or not?

HI I noticed this was an old post from 2009. I am a 47 year old female, ready to be banded on March 7, 2012. I'm looking for a woman, local to my area that I could receive some mentoring from. Also, I'm wondering if you ever found out the answer to your question about whether or not there was a lap-band support group in Salem. I will have to go up to Portland if I can't find one in Salem.
