I agree you should talk to your doctor. Mine has me well above 700. Everyone is different, and has a different path.

For a bit of variety.... I LOVE Costco's Amylu Apple & Gouda Chicken Sausage. 110 Cal, 5GM fat, 2GM sat fat, 45Mg cholesterol, 450Mg sodium, 3GM carbs, 1GM fiber, 1GM sugar, 13GM protein.

A very standard dinner option for me is 2-3oz chicken thigh meat (cooked in the crock pot, so it's nice and soft), combined with no more than 1/4 cup of veggie, and 1Tbsp Philly Cooking Creme. Tonight will be a one egg omelet with probably 1Tbsp veggie and 1Tbsp shredded cheese followed 30 minutes later by a Syntrax Nectar protein shake.

Kansas City Area Sleevers?
isntsheclever replied to Believinginlisa's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
It's starting to sound like maybe we should start our own group. I know it'll be hard to pick a location... Does anyone go to a church that would allow a group like this to meet for free? Any other ideas? What time/frequency was everyone thinking? Once a month? Once a week? Saturday mornings? -
Just a word on the Double Stuffed Cookie flavor. That is the ONLY flavor that is NOT gluten free.

Oops. Double post.

Syntrax Nectar is a protein drink mix. The best thing about it is the mix-in-ability. As long as you don't use hot water, it mixes up like a dream. Is not thick like most protein shakes. You can mix it with plain water and it's exactly like drinking Crystal Light. It's high quality protein, too. Easier for your body to handle than the collagen. And I swear I don't work for them. This was just the only stuff I could stomach post op. And it's the only way I've been able to consistently get above 75GM protein everyday.

What's On Your Bucket List
isntsheclever replied to Looking Ahead's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I want to do a 5k. I was supposed to do one last week, but it fell through. I wouldn't have been able to run it though. I have the C25K app on my phone... I just don't use it... I also want to get on a plane (coach) and not feel like I'm spilling over into a strangers personal space. I also want to do a triathlon by the time I'm 30. I have 2 years. -
I love Syntrax Nectar so much. This is probably my 5th post about it on here. I got the sampler from bariatricchoice.com, and the one for $14 from the company itself. I currently have one tub of vanilla bean torte, one tub of chocolate truffle, and one tub of strawberry mousse. For breakfast I mix one scoop with 4-8oz milk and 8oz water. I shake it up in my blenderbottle, and that's breakfast! I will probably get a tub of lemonade to mix with just water.

Hair Loss Solution
isntsheclever replied to chitowngirl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The regular use of extensions causes hair breakage and loss. If you're worried about your hair looking thin, you're better off cutting it short. -
I was running late on my way to work and didn't have time to put together a decent lunch for myself. So I found myself wandering around my local Hen House trying to decide what to eat. Here's what I ended up with... Sliced provolone cheese, sliced deli ham, and some Wholly Guacamole. High Protein, low carb, and some healthy fats thrown in for good measure! Anyone else have an odd last minute meal they came up with?

Is Keeping The Secret Possible?
isntsheclever replied to Nikki613's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
What's killing me about this whole thread is that people are getting so upset. Everyone is accusing everyone else of 'attacking.' You know what it makes me feel like? It makes me feel like I can't be honest, or express a differing opinion, without people accusing me of being a bully (or worse). I have NEVER set out to bully anyone EVER. I have NEVER told anyone that they are a bad person just because they have a different opinion than I do. We are all adults and should be able to have an open discussion without people getting upset because someone else is trying to come at the situation from a different point of view. You don't agree with me? Cool. Let's talk about it. Maybe we can each learn something. I'm not going to call you a bully because you think I'm wrong. VST is usually such a wonderful place full of information and the experiences of many different people. I miss that... -
Anyone From Kansas?
isntsheclever replied to welittle1's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm doing well. I'm actually having a lot of fun on this surgery! I'm 3 months in and 1/3 of the way to goal. Not that I expect to keep up the pace, but I think it's a heck of a start! I wish you guys tons and tons of luck and I'm here to answer any questions that I can! -
Is Keeping The Secret Possible?
isntsheclever replied to Nikki613's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I love this! This is EXACTLY how I feel! I want all of us to be open because "we" are in the minority. The majority if the obese population isn't having surgery. And no, not every obese person should get surgery. But I hate the idea of people suffering in silence due to misinformation or embarrassment. If more of us were open about our choice and refused to allow others make us feel badly for making the hard choice and taking control of our lives and our health...perhaps we could make a difference. -

Is Keeping The Secret Possible?
isntsheclever replied to Nikki613's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Honestly, I will tell anyone who asks. I think it needs to be more accepted. Yes, there are people who judge me. Yes, there are negative people. But I don't care (I have to work at this). I'm proud of my decision to make my life better. Anyone who is less than happy for me...their feelings say more about them then it does about me. -
Really?? Mine were too thick...

Also, I have no idea why my phone won't post pics correctly...
