So So Hungry...this Is Embarassing
gramaof4 replied to hope2Bfitand40's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I find that when I am not busy doing something I am thinking about food...what the kids and hubby had for dinner and what i'm gonna be able to eat in 2 weeks....well if I am busy I don't think about it and I don't dream about it. Husband asked me last night..."Wife, did ya buy me any candy bars?" I said "nope" those will be something you will need to buy from here on out!...It's like an addict, who tries to run around with others who are doing the drugs or alcohol in front of them. It's hard for the recovering addict not to partake. I really wish people who don't have a weight problem would understand that. -
I love that you have named your sleeve....so awsome!

We pay $20 bucks a month and I go to class 3 X per week M-W-F from 12-1:30p.m. and then every night from 6-7 p.m. with a couple of friends, more so just for continued movement in a boiant state....runnning in place, free style laps, mostly lower body movements, just to keep blood pumping for a solid hour....I love it....I lost 14 lbs before surgery -

And the above post that said the hard part is over...well pretty much accurate! Now it is all will power, you have the tool and your body will help ya out with the will power thing....your mind will say "3 cm opening....hmmm that is not going down" and you will gladly choose something better for you. I am involved in Water arobics....I specifically asked about swimming and the arobics part. My doc said as soon as my incisions were COMPLETELY healed over I could go back to swimming however, was to do no crunching of the tummy for 6 weeks. I'm going back next week! Yahoo excited! -
Well, today is day 14 I am now 2 weeks post opt. I am still feeling super, I have been back to work since Monday and am tired at night but feel good the next morning. I have lost 26 lbs. today is the first day I didn't see the scale fall...:-( I am struggling with the family trying to make every wonderful pastery, cookie, donut and pie they know how, all in one week they made a huge batch of brownies , blackberry pie and turn overs, donuts, and homemade french fries....grrr...and then they tell me how wonderful they taste and sorry that I "CAN"T HAVE ANY"...kinda hurt my feelers. I plan to make a huge success out of this tool I have paid so much for...I WILL SUCCEED! I do believe I will readjust my weight goal once I hit my original goal...I have decided once I hit my goal I am gonna go for the gusto and loose another 40# and I will weigh less than my husband and my 12 yr. old son! I will show them who can and will and who did succeed! Thank You to Dr. Aceves and his fabulous team who gave me this wonderful tool!

The Official What You Will Need For Your Upcoming Weightloss Surgery Thread!

Same thing happened to me...and you know I think the surgery shocked my body...cuz my period was short and not messy as usual.... Was definately not as bad as I had anticipated. Dr.s made no big deal of it and even removed my lowers during surgery as to not make me feel vulnerable. Was way okay! You'll do fine...and good luck! -
How are ya doing? I know it's past the end of February...but non the less...how big of a loser have you been since your last post?

WCMom...I look at your picture each day and know we are all in this together....It is what keeps me going. I went and visited my PCP today just as a visit to let her know what all had taken place and give her the copies of all of the letters and such and the x-rays. All went well I am kinda stalled out at 26 lbs...I am hoping like crazy for the last 2 holes to heal up so I can starrt swimming. I have been walking about 1/4 mile a day, but our weather turned off super cold and snowy....so didn't walk this weekend but only once. I love these blogs and forums it is the perfect place to say what you're feeling without placing stress on the rest of the house. And so many people are going through the same things it is nice to read.... How goes your progress....I had an egg yesterday!

These guys are amazing!....I had no pain no pain and well no pain.... -
I just went and bought the cook book for dummies WLS I am excited about getting it...I also bought getting the most Protein cookbook. My family is not gonna know what hit them! LOL, I love to cook so I will be cooking and they will be eating healthier....without even knowing it.

Yes I agree with you both....I think when they see I am not gonna budge even with their sabbatage techniques and when I am a thinner me after a few months....maybe they'll get it..."I WILL SUCCEED". I have to give praise to my live at home borrowed daughter who is 15...she has been quite a challenge for us (we are her guardians)...she is very helpful, has made dinner most nights for the family even before I get home. she offers to go on my walks with me, even though they are short, she is very helpful...so not all bad, she offers to rub my feet...It's almost like this surgery has opened her eyes that she should not give us so much grief in daily life.. My sister and mother from afar gives me great long distance support as well as my youngest bio daughter. The other kids have called to check on me but not really a concern of theirs...

Anyone With Surgery Date Of April 2?
gramaof4 replied to SkinnyMom2b's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
You know, I made it a point to go out with each of my friends, my children, and my husband, as well as my siblings and parents....I called each of these meals "my last supper with......." I ate what I wanted and enjoyed it as I knew it would never be the same again! -
My entire family is judgemental of how much I eat and should I be eating that and 2 T is to much and well they try to discourage me...but it takes me the same amount of time to eat 2 T of cottage cheese that it takes them to eat a full plate of lasagna and salad an bread meal. Just gotta go with is it any of their business what you eat or don't eat... Soup is a great idea, as warm seems to go down easier...
